I think there's something inherent in the way the ones demonstrated in this video create music that makes that impossible at the moment. The stems they produce are obviously post-generation. None of them have sound quality that is comparable to professional recordings or music made by amateurs in a DAW. I agree that separate high-quality tracks would be awesome but it will need a completely different AI model to achieve it.

Suno often does its own thing. It follows the lyrics, but sometimes it adds its own or repeats certain lines to make the song even better (or worse). I had Claude write an into song for a Batman: Arkham Asylum LP, and then used its suggestion of Gothic rock, and Suno did a thing where it repeated "we'll set things right" a few times and it sounded pretty good. Mureka's song, which I generated first, was good, but interesting.

I want to generate classical music, Bach-style music in particular. I want ALOT more musical parameters, like the layout of the piece, e.g. ABAB, ABBA, AABB etc (where A might be a verse and B a chorus). I want to tell what key it should use, e.g. E-minor, and also transitions to other keys, e.g. "E-minor to A-major back to E-minor". I want to control the tempo and signature, e.g. 4/4 in 124 BMP, or in musical terms andante, presto, largo, adagio etc. I wan't to give it chords that it has to incorporate, like "first accord should be a Emaj7sus4/G etc. For Bach-style I want to be able to control the form of the piece, like Preludium, Toccata, Fugue, Invention, Sonata etc. For Fugue in Bach-style I want to be able to tell it how many voices like 4-voices Fugue in F#-major, and even give it the theme of the fugue. 6:30 can anybody hear that quirky pitch quantization on her voice? Is that just cause its giving us a preview? You realize that how the sound is generated is a diffusion model, this is why I think UDIO's generator is limited to 32 second segments, I think they are using a 32 second tensor, and the AI is better able to match and construct its audio.. SUNO sounds liek the AI doesn't have enough of a context window to determine how to customize the sound, it just repeats everything without variation.

How does Suno know if a song was made when you were paying for it and when one was made when you weren't? Is there some kind of hidden marker they have on the song? If you pay for a month, every song during that month is yours to make money off of, but as soon as it's done, the songs after that are theirs? Maybe there are more people on because it is the weekend, and they just reduce the quality to keep generating times quicker? Please, I would rather wait a minute or even 5 or 10, and have quality. Every time I hear someone claim Suno is the best generator, I cringe. It has terrible audio quality. It's so bad I would never use it for any song I'd like taken seriously. Also, the songs are created with very unrealistic sounding instruments if you're trying to do something with guitars, strings, or any real world instruments that are not synthetic, such as synthesizers, drum machines, etc. It's instantly recognizable as AI music. The songs are OK, but when I used it, I was only getting a 10% use rate. 90% of what was generated was garbage, regardless of genre. Loudme is identical to Suno, so much so even the interface is nearly the same and the same horrible audio quality. No reason to talk about this one any further because it's a clone. Murek is a bit lower in quality and, again, has that AI sound quality. It also can't generate full songs. The fact that they're selling the tracks on Murek is a complete joke because AI music with no human component beyond a prompt cannot be legally protected by copyright. No copyright means I can take that song and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Who is going to pay for something they can just take for free with no legal consequences? The only generator worth my time is Udio and I use it extensively. I wrote music for media professionally for over 20 years and Udio can generate top quality professional music. It's not quite at the level where it could be, but it's far better than Suno and the others. Success rate for songs with lyrics is still low. But it's higher than Suno by maybe 5%. It's good at generating all genres while Suno is better at some than others. It doesn't do full songs without extending unless you're just doing short commercial spots or consider 2 minutes a full song. While Suno can do a full 4 minute song, I'm fine with extending Udio tracks because you get options and it's very easy. To me, Udio is by far the winner. No one I know has ever been fooled by Suno but most people I know were fooled by Udio, including musicians.
