2023 TRD Pro here, paid too much, couldn't be happier. No speeding tickets any more lol. Only think I need is a hard tonneau cover, I'm set. So glad I pulled the trigger on a 2023 since the 2024 TRD Pro are useless for passengers with those stupid shock seats.

People complain about the 3.5L in the 3rd gen taco like its the end of the world. I regeared my 3rd gen taco to 4:88 and its a dream! Yeah it has its quirks but it has never left me stranded. What more do you want? Reliability OR power? If your all about performace and horsepower and quickness then why are you wasting your time looking at toyotas? Go buy a ford or a chevy. Lets see how that works out for you after 100k miles. The 3rd gen 3.5L is a 400k mile engine and it has been proven.

If you Off Road often or put a topper/rack w/tent you should. If you are just driving around town and fire roads you should be ok. It doesn’t hurt anything so I say go for it. I’m picking up my 2023 Tacoma TRD OR Access Cab today (Jan 27, 2024) and will probably add them at some point.

Sprint Booster is also great! It radically changes the performance and once you set your happy place you can disconnect the (small) controller and it will keep your setting.

Learn how to work it it’s the anti lag with the turbos don’t slam on the pedal ease into it half the way down then keep pushing up so ur turbo can really spool just mess around with it and don’t just pedal to the floor expecting the turbo to throw pounds of boost in there immediately I have a 2024 off road

I have a 2022 SR with the SX package, I really like the rims. What’s the biggest tire I can fit on the 16” rims without rubbing anywhere and without a leveling kit? I don’t want level or lift it but would like a more aggressive looking tire.

I highly recommend putting a 3in front 2in rear leveling kit on the taco. It really transforms the truck without making it look goofy.

Anyone know How do you turn traction control completely off? I've tried hold the button for 10plus seconds while in park and its better but not off......If you are spinning the wheels in field or snow the engine will fall flat on its face.....any suggestions? Thanks

Pairing a tune with a good aftermarket CAI and exhaust can actually net you some hps. A good tuner will take into account those mods and map your tune to compliment those aftermarket components.

You can tune it. Skip the pedal commander and just do a Kdmax tune, your tuner can also adjust the pedal sensitivity. I did KDMax 9.0 with the sport throttle and it’s a completely different truck. It shocked me. And I thought just like you, these trucks are pigs but this really changed it completely.
