While unbelievably convenient at least they didn't de-rail the plot but actually supported it and later at least the mech gets reused in the final fight too where we get a believable excuse to dispose of it, not to mention that later in season 2 they kept the consistency by The Administration having them

The thing is the race didn’t need to happen you could just have Arin go to ras’ room while the tournament is taking place later in the episode and ras sees him going there and follows him to his room

Arin is a great character but what people don't understand is that things for Arin are be different. Arin is the fish out of water character and resonates with people they most. Arin strength are more humanely and Realistic and Invisible at times his incredible at making connections with people but he doesn't think those will make him strong and that Self-doubt is mostly the reason of his problems as he struggles to do things the come so easily to everyone around him. Feeling let down by teachings that work for everyone else. The frustration of of trying to harmonize with a world that always felt like it was Against him and but the truth is that those ninja stuff isn't gonna work for Arin. Arin needs to be trained different because he is different. The reason why Percival and Frak Change was because Arin had them Questioning the ways of the people they trusted. The problem is that Lloyd has see So many issues get solved by more strong Actions then powerful Emotions And doesn't encourage Arin to find his on a way to do things to Embrace who he is Instead accidentally forcing an image on to him of that he should be and that there only one way to get there. And the other ninja's don't exactly do much help for Arin as the do for Sora The ninja trust Sora's power and skills more than trust Arin's kindness and Uniqueness and Treat her like a true Game changer for team They are blind to Arin and that he can Truly Offer not just to the team but the merge lands too. Arin can be great but not how the other ninja's because great in his own way.

You know alot of people think reversing the merge is Ras's whole plan,when the show already contradicted that,with the episode "absolute power",in the flashback it shows that ras actually was going after the source dragons since before the merge,so i think the merge is just an obstacle in the way of his true plan that he wants to get rid of,then his master will get absolute power(pun intended)

Ras is honestly one of the best villains in the entire show. Not only is he a total powerhouse (he’s able to take on Spinjitzu and dragons with just a hammer), but his greatest weapon is his manipulative abilities. He’s able to twist people’s insecurities and fears into weapons and then present himself as the solution to it all. He did it with Beatrix, with Jordana, and now with Arin. And he’ll likely keep doing it with Arin, especially since he now has Arin’s attention due to his parents and his teachings were what caused him to finally do Spinjitzu.

The race could've been better if they were actually racing other people because that's what make a race exciting seeing whos gonna win and lose. Them facing a mosquito sized dragon is basically to the audience them racing nothing and them just coasting by themselves. I feel like a good idea would be to have some of the elemental masters that didn't get to showcase their fights like the elemental master of shadow and all the other ones, get them into some shinanigans as well and then have them race.

2:34 this is why I wish the seasons still had names. Also I think the episode the last djinn isn’t very good. It’s not awful, but the entire episode just feels really weird to me specifically with Nya. Nya has no reaction to seeing a djinn nor does she mention the events of Skybound at all. Obviously it would be weird if the ninja just started talking about references to past seasons for no reason, but in this case it would’ve made complete sense for her to reference Skybound and it’s kind of weird that she didn’t. The events of Skybound have never really been talked about in the show so this was the perfect opportunity to finally do that since there is potential there, but they just chose not to. What makes this weirder is that they directly mention other seasons in dragons rising. Kai just tells wildfire that his sister turned into the sea once. It’s weird skybound doesn’t get this treatment Despite the fact it made the most sense to reference it the most. The episode also makes wish magic make even less sense

The reason skybound has never once been mentioned is because in the history of ninjago skybound didn't actually happen (the season finale) Jay wishes to baiscally reverse every action that led to the seaosn happening therefore the ninja and no one remembers anything.

I hate the flashbacks in dragon rising s1 where they used Lloyd and wu training but doesn't used old voice actor and look of young lloyd like "Golden Hour" was animated by CC Pixels Productions. which they used similar style old seasons and old voice. I rally like golden hour style expect they make adult wu with white hair instead of blonde hair

I have a hot take, and that is I like the second half of DR season 1 more than all of season 2. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a close race, but I like DR Season 1 Part 2 for the same reason I love Possession, and that is having the Ninja going on a literal Odyssey and visiting a new, interesting location each episode. I hope we get more of that vibe during Season 3, since it’s already been confirmed that we’re gonna be introduced to a new realm during it.

Instead of racing to stay in the tournament the race schould be part of the turnament. Here is an idea: two elementalmasters , instead of fighting had to race againt each other. There can actually choose alias who will help them. Frak has to race against someone else and decided to ask the ninja. The Ninja are very conflicted, they want to help frak but at the same time this would also mean helping Ras. In the end the ninja say yes. Ras is furious about this and tells Frak that the Ninja just said yes not to help him win but to help him loose. But when the race beginns the ninja actually help Frak, wich confused Ras. He comes to the conclusion that the Ninja hides they true intention, and while watching he realised that everyone is there, accept for one: Arin. No one else noticed this or care since Arin doesn't have an elemental power so they don't see him as an enemy and frak is to focused on the race to notice. But Ras has an interesst in Arin as a Potential ally so of course he noticed this. The race is the perfect opportunity to sneak around. So Ras leaves and finds Arin sneaking around and then the Episodes continue like in the original Episode, Ras manipulating Arin (and also us Fans because like Arin we don't know the actual trouth).

Every time a new set wave is revealed I ask myself "well, how are they going to write this into the plot?" and theres two extremes they can go to: The best result, the Golden Weapon vehicles, and the worst result, the combo vehicle. Such an awful set, literally only good for the minifigs.

I'm not saying the race is good - l But it doesn't bother me as much as most people - but yes the scene between arin and Ras is absolutely incredible that him and not even us the audience know where the truth and the lies in his word lay - it's such incredible writhing - like I'm sure Wu caused the Merge and part of Ras' plan involve undoing it but there is definitely a side of the story we are missing - I hope for season 3's arc for arin is him to be so oppressed with finding his parents that it drives him further and further into darkness - see you in 2025 - my question for you is what is your favorite video on this channel and why?

The setup to the race was fine, wildfire and cynder had a couple of skirmishes leading up to the setup in the alleyway, so it was acceptable that Roby would believe they were beating up on cinder. The issue was them having to run a contrived race for reinstatement, that was the dumb part........ The race itself was, all right, nothing too special. But it's the fact that it existed in the first place that makes it just stupid. But the show then redeems itself by having one of the best scenes in the entire season mixed up with this contrived race. Far from the worst episode in the series, but it was a bit of a low point for the second half.

S2P2 is probably the part inDR with the most amount of issues (mostly minor), but has problems like Bleck being cartoony evil, and that entire race scene in episode 15, but the highs of Part 2 while not as strong as S2P1 obviously, still manage to be pretty strong especially with how it handles Arin and Ras. Combining it to create what is in my mind, the single best season in Ninjago imo. This second half made me realized that I never been this hyped of a Ninjago product since the Oni Trilogy. And if DR S3 manage to keep this level of peak storytelling and fleshing out the characters, then yeah, DR undoubtedly beats out the O.G series even if I do think DR has me hooked more than anything from the original lol

Imo the best episodes in dragons rising season 2 part 2 are episode 3 because of how it sets up the mystery and makes you want to keep watching, and the last 4 episodes there were great fights great action, that last episode. Episode 1 and 2 were pretty garbage just slow and boring. Episode 4 was really dissapointing the jay and nya fight was so bad the dialogue was so robotic and terrible. Episode 5-6 were held back by the race but they weren't bad the tournament fights were just around decent. That's my take on it.
