The Best (and worst) of VEGANDALE Toronto 2022

I was thinking $80 - So close! By Price is Right standards I would have been disqualified for going over 🤪. I much prefer Veg Fest, it happens every year in Sept and not only is there good food, every year they have different people come out to do talks on healthy eating or fitness or running a vegan business etc. And cooking demos. And all of this is FREE! Only 3 more days to go until this year's Veg Fest - can't wait! And FYI, the strudels you guys loved will be there this year. The year Vegandale started was my first and last time going. Sure, lots of vegan junk food but it's way overpriced, in the middle of August in just the worst heat, very few areas to sit and enjoy, water station issues - as both of you experienced :(.

I've been living in Calgary for 5 years. We have Veg Fest but nothing with this many vendors & excitement. I will be back in Toronto to see this in 2023. I love options. I miss having many vegan options. Count your blessings.

It's true! Just some tips: it's not a cheap event - they certainly inflate the prices - but if you know that going in and just enjoy it - it's a nice event :)

Thank you for sharing your experience in Toronto.... I went to Vegandale for the first time in LA last year it seemed like more people there then it was at LA but I did go early hoping to avoid the super crowds. I was considering trying Canada this year since I can also take advantage of being a tourist for the first time in Canada. I'm alkaline plant base but choose days like this to have a small cheat day so I hope to find atleast one alkaline plant base vendor or atleast a good ol fried oyster mushroom sandwich there as I did in LA last year.

Hey, I didn’t see you there :). We went early, but yeah, it was a melting hot day. We agree with you on so many counts… the Guru was appalling. The sausage was amazing, we had strudel (which we took home as well) was flat, lol, but still soooo good. We also preferred the smaller line vendors. The fried chicken and Mac line was huge but the food looked gross. Not sure if you had Creamery X ice cream a different time, if not, you’ve got to try it. They were voted 2021 best ice cream in Toronto and for good reason! The water line was long but it moved quickly, another wouldn’t have hurt though. We took a crowd break and strolled through the Fort since it was free, very cool. All in all, a good (expensive) day :D
