It's on the op side and a lot of tables ban it. I simply fixed it and allow it at my table. First fix is to bring its action economy back to reality. Simply made it so Unleash consumes your echo. Second fix is to scale down their mobility. Costs half your base movement not justva flat 15'. Easy fixes that still leaves a lot of power but brings it back to a more reasonable level.

Hard to die as an echo knight. Echo is 30 feet behind you. Move 30 feet forward and attack. Move your echo 30 feet further back. Swap places. You are now 90 feet away.

Honestly I do really like echo knight but I have noticed I enjoy all the utility that comes with battle master. It’s hard to pass up since a good battle master can be an amazing tank or damage dealer.

@@tyebemis9437 Yeah, it was a very close race between the 2. I think I personally like the Battlemaster a bit better.

The Feydaykin from Dune were probably more Ranger than fighter, but that's what they call them.

I would personally say Arcane Archer is probably the worst: only two uses of its main feature and a saving throw DC based on your Intelligence mean that a Battle Master is usually a better Arcane Archer than the actual Arcane Archer!

Did you say Samurai was runner up for the worst? I haven’t tried one yet, but I always thought they were in the upper tier. Easy advantage on attacks, wisdom save proficiency, *functional immunity to death* at level 18… Maybe not super exciting, but definitely powerful. I would definitely put Champion as runner up for the worst. All of their features could be integrated as basic fighter features, and nobody would bat an eye.

That's fair. I played a Samurai a long time ago and found it very underwhelming but I think it might have been a UA version because I don't remember being able to use fighting spirit more than once per rest. In hindsight, this actually looks pretty good. I rescind the runner up status. Champion is still OK with its Crit fishing abilities but it does come in 1st place for the most boring. Good for multiclassing, though.
