Nice little mini review there thanks. I was nodding in agreement with pretty much all you said about it. I didn't notice the few "cheap" plastic bits on the one I drove, but it was an all-black interior so maybe didn't stand out so much. What did stand out to me was the overall feeling of top quality and beautiful modern design. I've driven many BMWs, Porsche and other premium German cars and this to me is something a little different and more interesting. The super-light steering was a little unexpected, but something I could probably get used to in a relaxing SUV like this. The steering is accurate enough, just surprisingly light and devoid of any feedback. But it certainly made it an easy car to drive around town and added to the relaxation. It's a shame there isn't more of a difference in the various settings e.g. in "dynamic" mode I feel they could have weighted the steering more in line with typical German cars. Maybe it's something they can update in future software (if it's not a hardware limitation). Overall this is currently my favourite mid-sized premium SUV by a fair margin.

Before choosing between this one and the V90CC I went extensively through the major good and bad points: 1- the luggage compartment cover doesn’t fit well and Volvo was forced to add a black cover that is fixed to the trunk door to close the gap. 2- lack of option to add integrated child booster seats like other Volvo models. 3- door panels do look cheap in comparison with the 90-series 4- no option for automatic trunk cover. You need to close it manually 5- center console doesn’t have that nice leather detail that stretches from the armrest to the infotainment system. Lots of positives as you mention in your video and it is a beautiful car and one of the best designs Volvo has ever created. The negatives are my own opinion and those made me order a V90CC instead. But I can say I was very very tempted to go for the XC60

Yes both cars have their own merits, not sure which I would choose. I love the V90CC, but I also like the more compact size of the XC60 :)

Have to say, driving the 2018 T6 in a peaceful manner is merely an impossible task. The car is tuned for very aggressive driving. A small tap of the pedal makes you shoot out. Really hard to drive in heavy traffic.

More nitpicking: 1. I don't like to dubbel-tap the gear shirt to enter Drive-mode. 2. The Start-knob is too far back. 3. Entering the backseat feels narrow, eventhough the legroom is legendary.

hy again Kris, nice video, still have to test this one, but there is one thing that nags me, all of the 90s series which I managed to get my hands on, and Ive driven them all, all of them didnt have the air suspensions, my guess you nailed a few of those air suspensions, so tell me, for the S90 / V90 / V90 CC family, is it true that if you choose the air suspension the back is a bit harsh when crossing over rough terrain, or speed limiters? that is rougher compared to the normal suspension. I am getting closer of buying myself the V90 Cc and I still didnt nail this option in my head.

I have actually only driven these cars with air suspension, but none of them have actually been rough. All have had a good ride :)

One bad thing I heard is the rear seats you cannot adjust the inclination. Should be adjustable if one wants more inclined to rest and relax.

Yes, that's one of the points I noticed. The XC90 has reclining 2nd row seats, but obviously a much bigger box to drive around. But the XC60 rear seats are super comfortable anyway. I don't think it's a huge deal for most people. For me the recline function is most useful with child seats as they can sometimes be too upright for kids to sleep in.

This is again one of those cost cutting measures from Volvo. I mean, even much cheaper brands offer inclination, I don't see why Volvo wanted to keep this feature.

I like your reviews Kris and have subbed, but if you want to keep subscribers who CARE about driving and cars, you'll lay off the critiques about how pretty plastic pieces are and you will talk more about how it drives, the comfort, noise, etc. Glad to see you noted these as nit-picks, it bodes well for your future. Real car people care about more than materials quality in $42K + vehicles. These are not 7 series BMWs. Stick to looks, comfort, dynamics, practicality, ergonomics, and you'll do well.

Good review. The car is available with 19's which should do it for the ride nit pick and you can, on Inscription, I believe get air suspension. I'm gonna respect your opinion since you appear to be wearing a Pepsi Rolex which should be indicative of your style consciousness to some degree. However, NEVER, PLEASE, NEVER do another review without climbing in the rear seat to show us the roominess or claustrophobia. So important. i need to see the leg room in these "mid-size" suv's to make a comparison, especially since they are all 60,000 dollars loaded these days. Thank you.

rear seats are not adjustable/inclined on a so called premium car in this class?! No matter how comfortable the seats are children will always question that "feature" and will be asking for the inclination capability! Such a feature is available on many cheaper cars like Subaru Forester or a Skoda!
