Do you have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto available in your car?

Awesome video mate. I got something similar coming in a few weeks 👌

Thank you for tuning in Dave 🙌 I was looking for a car stereo unit with wireless Apple CarPlay since a while and thankfully the searching is over. I was a bit worried about the performance prior having it, fortunately, there is absolutely no hassle at all. Making a review of something different than a detailing product was very challenging though, I had to admit 😅 Looking forward to your upcoming stuff mate. Keep rocking 🙌

A very concise and well presented video, I managed to learn more from this than all the others online that just want to talk about sound settings. Have you had any issues with having both internal and external microphones operating at the same time? thanks again.
@RoadToDetailing4 ай бұрын
Thank you, I am glad you found it useful 🙌 Overall the unit works great, wasn’t facing any issues so far. Currently, I am using only the internal microphone (haven’t installed the external microphone) and when I asked people during phone calls, everyone was saying they were hearing me well. So this is the reason I don’t have the external microphone installed just yet. In theory, you should be good to go with both installed. I would place the external microphone around the rear-view mirror.

Can you provide the harness you used for this I have the same car.
@RoadToDetailing8 ай бұрын
I use the most basic toyota harness: amzn.to/4a0FffR Plus, an antenna adapter: amzn.to/417VPGp Keep in mind, you will need additional harness for steering wheel control. For an all in one harness, this would be your best choice: connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTSTY013.2 (Plus you will need a connection lead, that you can find on the same page) Hope this helps 🙌

Hello everyone. 1 - Can someone tell me if it is possible to keep the date and clock saved when it turns on ? It always reset after shutting down. 2 - Why the music plays automatically when it turns on ? Is it possible tu change it ? Thanks.
@RoadToDetailing9 ай бұрын
Sure 😉 1. Make sure your GPS antenna is correctly connected, then ensure that time is allowed to sync in time settings 2. Without GPS antenna connected, ensure the 2 crucial wires (Im talking in the video) is attached properly, so the device can run is “ultra sleep mode”. Meaning, the it remembers the time in every boot. I personally use the first option, and once you have got the gos signal, the time will be set immediately and automatically. 2 crucial wires for ultra sleep mode: the 12v ignition and the 12v constant power harnesses. I have faced with issue, but there is a solution, hope this helps 🙌

Those features only available with the ATOTO S8 series. I haven’t tried these yet, so I am not fully sure. Check the full specifications on their website: myatoto.com

Hi,how would this one compare to well known brand car stereos like Alpine,Pioneer,Sony and Kenwood?
@RoadToDetailing6 ай бұрын
Hi Ed! Unfortunately I hadn’t have the chance to try one of the high-end branded units. In fact, a 9 inch unit costs at least double or triple (even more) the price compared to ATOTO. Obviously if, someone has the budget for them to buy or try, they probably a better option. However, when it comes to value for money: ATOTO is hard to beat in my opinion. Also, the support from ATOTO is good enough as well. Hope this helps 🙌

Does this work for all cars?? What about 2001-2006 Lexus ls430, do I need to buy a separate harness?
@RoadToDetailing6 ай бұрын
The unit itself should be working in all cars IF, you have the space available (double din). As for harness, toyota and lexus are pretty much the same, but for the sake of safety, please ask your local car shop for the specific lexus ISO harness and antenna adapters.

Is the radio and speaker harness separate or do I have to purchase both
@RoadToDetailing7 ай бұрын
There is harness provided “from the unit” to ISO. If your car doesn’t have “ISO harness” you need a car specific ISO harness to purchase, OR! you can connect the wires manually, too (without a need of a car specific ISO harness), but this requires some technical skills. (Although you have all information in the manual that which wires go where)

@RoadToDetailing7 ай бұрын
@kingme0072 I just typed in on Google: Toyota ISO harness and you will find one specifically to Altima. I live in EU, just walked in the first car stereo shop and bought one. You also might need an antenna adapter.

Have you turned on auto connect at the bluetooth settings (unit)? Also, have you enabled CarPlay while the iPhone is locked in the settings of your iPhone? Also, make sure your wifi is enabled, and your iPhone doesn’t sharing the internet to other devices, nor the head unit connected to other networks. Hope this helps

How come my atoto a6 needs to be connected to carlink via wifi to use apple carplay/android auto

@jordan00729 ай бұрын
Yes I did that but for some reason my head unit doesn't want to connect to AC via Bluetooth 1. So whenever i use wireless AC, I connect it to wifi using the CarlinkAP
@RoadToDetailing9 ай бұрын
Have you toggled the “automatically launch CP/AA when connected to this device” at the bottom of the BT1 pairing page? Also, when it does connect AA/CP the main BT connection stops, due the fact it will transfer data/sound via WiFi in the Carlink app. So not having BT connection while connected CP is normal. BT pairing helps to create an automatic connection for Carlink, if the above settings toggled. If not, then you need to manually tap on Carlink app and waiting for the connection with CP. Hope this helps 🙌

Do I need a cab bus system for my Altima
@RoadToDetailing7 ай бұрын
You can do the wiring manually, or you can buy a “ready to use” harness for Altima. (ISO connector / harness). All the wires included l, but if you don’t want to manually connect the wires, you will need at list an Altima specific ISO adapter to get it plug and play.

Not necessarily needed. Alls the wire harness provided in cables, but you will need to connect the proper wires manually. If you don’t want to do that, you will need the extra accessories for “plug and play” steering wheel option. Hope this makes sense ✌🏻

@RoadToDetailing7 ай бұрын
@kingme0072 there are ISO harnesses provided in the ATOTO box. Also, there are simple wires you can connect manually (so you don’t “need” extra ISO harnesses”. If you want a plug and play, you need to purchase an “ISO harness” for your car specific cables. (Usually with older cars like mine). But, you also need a separate antenna connector FROM your car. These are all car specific connections, and the ATOTO comes with “ISO male connector”, so you need a female ISO harness that is always related to your own car, because there are so many kinds of cars out there. For me, I purchased a Toyota specific ISO female harness and because that doesn’t come with an antenna adapter, I also had to purchase that separately. I also mentioned all of these in the video :) As per sound setting goes, there is a chapter for this as well 🙌 This should be in the sound settings, in the video I went through all of the available sound settings, and I mentioned that how to turn this sound setting off, because it is indeed very frustrating 🙌 Hope this helps
