Agreed on all points. I usually run the BFG Vickers sling but just bought their “One” model with thinner webbing and no pad. This sling is basically the VTAC sling webbing with the BFG Vickers adjustment tab. Best of both worlds in my mind.

Finally a good sling video that explains which sling is which. Thank you my good sir.

I watched a bunch of sling reviews. I wish I had seen this one first as it summarized exactly what I wanted to know. I ended up going with the Vickers from BFG before ever watching this video. Very happy with the pull tab for quick adjustability. I wish they offered the padded variant in smaller sizes though. The padded ones adjust from about 57"-67" which is way to big for my skinny ass even when wearing a plate carrier or back pack.

Love your videos. Honest review, to the the point and not 15 minutes of shooting. Keep up the good work. Could you do a review of the best all aroumd AR-15 which is lightweight and the best length of barrel. 11" , 14 1/2" or 16" . Iron sights and optics. Which can be used in 3 gun competition as well as home self-defense. Thamk you !!
@OutofWaters4 жыл бұрын
You can't go wrong with a 16" or 14.5" with a welded muzzle device. If your looking for a solid gun that won't malfunction much I'd stick with Bcm recce , Daniel Defense m4v7, or a ,radian model 1. All of these are over $1400. I personally have a DDm4v7 and I've put over 2000 rounds total through it (cleaned every 500 rounds or so) and its never had a malfunction. Are Daniel defense the best? No but I can speak to the fact that they are solid and reliable. But I've heard nothing but good things about bcm and radian as well.

Try the tac shield proven gear: warrior sling, its basically the same thing, but better in my opinion, and you have the double/single sling capability.

Who could've guessed that just around a year after this video was released that'd it be nearly impossible to find many slings in colors like black and multicam and that 5.56 would be worth as much as gold. Man, I wish I'd been born about 5 years earlier since then I would've had more time to stock up on stuff and train. 1:46 That case's path had to be one in a million. Out of the gun, into your hair, and down right onto your arm.

So far my favorite sling is the AGA hybrid, function as a two point or one point with a quick pull knob to switch between in under a second. Tho I did get so bothered with the weak looking material I went and bought a old belt driven heavy sewing machine to make it stronger

I'm going to have to go against the grain and provide a counterpoint opinion. As background, the reasons I am giving are derived directly from my time of 9 months exchanging a couple hundred rounds from my M16A4 with insurgents in the 2nd Battle of Ramadi. I only use a 1 point sling. You simply DO NOT have time to "remove slack," "slip your arm out" or do other sling manipulations when you start getting shot at. Whatever configuration you are in is what you will remain in when you are literally diving/dashing for cover, to return fire, and then immediately start thinking about maneuvers you need to do with your team in order to survive. Sure, a 1 point sling can result in you getting smacked in the jewels. But it won't happen since you make sure you always have your firing hand on the grip of your weapon, at all times, whenever there is any potential of contact. While I didn't rate a pistol while in Iraq, I never experienced a misfire with my M16A4 that would warrant transitioning to a pistol, and this is after several hundred rounds fired in anger in the dusty desert. Anyway, why would you downgrade your level of firepower from a rifle to a pistol, when your enemy probably is already shooting at you with an automatic rifle? You want every advantage possible to quickly kill the enemy as expediently as you can. Clean your weapon every time your get back to your quarters, learn to execute speed reloads and how to respond to misfires. Those actions should be second nature.

The old Glock brass to the face trick. Both my Gen 3s are bad for that too. I heard that a new extractor can fix that issue. It was relieving to get a G48 that did not suffer that issue.
