Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, and a successor to 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Set in the 9th century, the player controls Eivor, a Viking raider and Assassin during the Viking invasion of Britain. The game is scheduled for release in late 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia, and is to be Ubisoft's launch title for the next-generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In Valhalla, the player takes on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider who leads their fellow Vikings from Norway in raids and battles against King Aelfred and the four Anglo-Saxon medieval kingdoms of England - Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, and Mercia - near the end of the 9th century as part of the Viking invasion of Britain. Additionally, the game will continue to tie into the modern-day events related Abstergo Industries' researcher Layla Hassan, who was featured in both Origins and Odyssey, and to the Templars and Assassins that have tied the series together.
Players will have the choice of playing Eivor as either male or female and are further able to select their hair, warpaint, clothing and armor. Combat has been changed to allow dual wielding of almost any weapon. The "Eagle Eye" mechanics are also expected to return in the form of a raven that will be Eivor's animal companion in the game. The player can use the raven to scout the nearby areas as previous avian companions had done in Origins and Odyssey. The game will rely less on a traditional leveling system and instead focus more on the selection of skills through skill trees selected by the player as Eivor advances through the game. Enemies will be rated based on the collection of skills. The skills trees will be similar to those found in The Witcher, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Player choices through conversation or gameplay options will have impacts on the characters and their political alliances with other non-player characters.
A central feature of the game is the settlement that the player, as Eivor, will help build and lead during the game. Ismail described its importance as "a lot of what you're doing in the game world is, at the end of the day, going to feed into the settlement so that it can grow, it can flourish." The player will be able to direct construction of certain types of buildings which in turn provide benefits for gameplay. To build these structures, the player will need to lead the vikings on raids to collect resources. Naval combat will return, though more as a means of faster medium for travel for performing such raids, and for escaping after land combat, rather than in engagement with other naval vessels.
Valhalla is a single player game, but will include online components for the purpose of encouraging players to share their progress and creativity.

@@DUNDN I dunno man.. got the cloak at 21 using this. Put all upgrades to rations and made sure to only pull a few at a time back to my parked ship just outside. Use mounted spearguns if you can.. kill a few.. run out and quicksave. Clear the camp that way.. and deal with the key carrier. Don't bother with the other named guy in a building.. she won't come out.

Just incase anyone didnt realize by now, if you catch fire do the classic stop drop and roll by holding dodge and you will instantly not take any more fire damage even tho the fire effect will still be on your character for a few seconds after rolling.

@@funkymonk2462 theyre easy to get, did it a pwr lvl 45 on the hardest difficulty settings. The 3rd one was annoying at first but i found a way to only need to eliminate 2 guards and open the door before getting close to it. Use a guard tower eliminate him, use an arrow to break the door of the hut, the guy comes out, wait or whistle to get his attention in a good spot, assassinate and collect the gear. Relatively easy

It would be very useful to have a video showing in detail the various armors, quality level appearence changes, and ofcourse in game. The option to hide armors is there, which means that showing it off can be done without hiding it all beneath a cloak.

For the runner (chest with cloak) just use Thorn of Slumber to put him to sleep, then run up and assassinate. Easy.

5:00 When you go after the cloak you can skip fighting the dude inside by doing this. Go in at night and dive into the river that runs alongside this camp and swim up behind the hut the cloak is in. Go up creep around to the door Tags smashed through and fire an arrow at it breaking it and hide right outside the door, when he comes out to see what's up assassinate him. He walked out for me, but if he doesn't you should be able to whistle to draw him out.

Finished this on power level 25. The only real hurdle I had to deal with was the camp. Ended up sneaking in, silently breaking the door, shooting the keyholder with a sleep dart, and using an advanced assassination. Took a lot of tries.

tip for the last one: if you meditate to night time, most of the patrols are gone, then you just need to eliminate the one on the roof and the one in front of the door (i recommend turning on guaranteed assassination to do this without attracting any other attention)

As I'm sure people have figured out by now, for the trousers you can shoot the barred door from the window of the house across the open space from the door. Then just sneak in and get it. Was not detected at lvl 52. Now the dude with the key is something I have to wait for as I don't do enough damage yet.

To get the cloak easier at an early power level, I climbed to the nearest Archer post and assassinated him then shot the locked door open from the tower, causing the key guy to flee (ran directly under my tower) and then I assassinated him and took the key without alerting any of the guards

Also if you run out of arrows you can always use your torch and that will actually break objects as well I was looking around for an arrow forever trying to get into a Church and could not find one eventually I was like you know I wonder if my torch will break the window so I selected the torch and threw it at it and sure enough it broke the window It will also make ladders fall that are hidden when you have to point the arrow at the spot of the ladder that drops the ladder down you can throw your torch at that as well

I mean, while in Odyssey you had a lot of sets, for 3 different types of playstyles, there were some who were better than others. But in Valhalla, although you have the same 3 playstyles (hunter,assassin and "warrior" if you desire to call them like this), there are less sets for you to collect, so probably they are all good in some playstyle, which wasn't the case in Odyssey (don't misunderstand good with funny/look good, i played with some sets in Odyssey that weren't "good" but were funny or looked good). It's imo though, i can be wrong :)

For the cloak ( I know I'm a BIT late ) shoot the door open and dude inside will investigate then you can assassinate him. (Turn on easy assassination for doing this high level stuff then turn it back when done)

@5:10 I put exploding oil pots in front of the door. Went across Shot the door, waited for him to investigate them blew him up. You can also clear the camp from the River. Take command of your longboat and shoot unlimited arrows.
