This was super helpful. It always seems like Rick has a way of explaining things that makes sense and clicks for me. I applied just a little bit last night during my daily calling practices and I can tell the difference when I first started calling.

Thank you for publishing this video! I recently got a single reed echo and have been struggling to get the full potential out of the call and this will definitely help!

A friend gave me a meat hanger years ago, it’s mainly just hung on my lanyard as a memento as like he said in the video I don’t think I ever was loud enough for the coast to make a difference. Saving this video and gonna apply it starting tomorrow and get some good use out of a gorgeous call 🤙🏻

I miss seeing all of you guys as well. I keep telling Rick that I'm going to make a trip down. I think if the season is any good, Maib and I are coming down in January. Take care my friend.

Thanks for these videos, Rusty! Is Mr. Dunn saying that opening the throat will get more rasp into the call? I can match the pitch but finding the rasp is a big pain point for me.
@RustyCreasey Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching!! Yessir that’s pretty much what he’s saying. You’ll get a deeper, better tone and more volume the more open your throat is. Like he always says, use that hot air like you are fogging a mirror.

@@RustyCreasey Thanks for the quick reply! With all your helpful videos I’m sure I’ll be able to get some of the basics down before my season opens at the end of the month

Man great advice! Wonder if that’s the reason I can’t get that deep hen sound?

I'd say there's a very good chance that is why!! It can be done though!! Keep at it! Thanks for watching!!

Love the video thx for tips Is he saying any words like alot of callers say ten or hut or just straight fogging the window type breathing
@RustyCreasey2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching!! I teach people to say hut and shut the note off by slamming your tongue against the roof of your mouth when u make the T sound. Hope that makes sense.
