The Backpacking Albania series continues and we have now made it to the coast! We arrived in Himarë by bus and stayed at Sun Bakers Hostel. We rented a quad bike and explored the nearby beaches such as Jale Beach, Aquarium Beach and Llamani Beach. Honestly I was not expecting the water and beaches to be this amazing! I expect this town to massively grow in popularity over the next few years.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Llamani beach is my favourite beach too. It has underwater springs that bubble up from time to time if you could just stand for a while and feel the water bubbling under your feet. That's why these beaches are crystal clear, because they are fed by clean waters that don't allow the creation of algae.

Next time try to go to Jal- Folie Marine, you gonna love that place. It’s just before Hemare. All Albania and around it, is authentic and wonderful to visite and to live.

The region of Himara is predominantly populated by an ethnic Greek community.The local population is bilingual in Greek and Albanian. In particular the town of Himara and the villages of Dermi and Palasa, which together account for the bulk of the region's population, are mainly populated by a Greek population. nice video..!! I'm albanian and I know very well Himarë and all the beaches around It's interesting to see Himarë from a turist "eye". The beach you called Aquarium , is the "Prroi i Zisos" beach ; Aquarium is 50 meter from there ; it's a pity that you didn't go there , you were so near..!! For the next trip you are invited at my hostel , Filikur Hostel , easy find at Booking , and I'll show you fantastic beaches around..!! See you soon..!!

That was not aquarium beach... you should have walk 5-7 minutes more to be in the aquarium beach...but its ok every place its beautiful in Albania

You actually missed the aquarium bay. For aquarium bay you have to walk just around the corner.

Girls, that is not Aquarium beach. The beach was just behind the one you stayed. Sorry, but you missed it. Aquarium beach is smaller than the beach you were, but its more awesome and you could do a lot of jumping in the sea from there. Anyway, another time.

Actually you missed the aquarium bay by one minute walk. There wehere you steayed is the beach before the aquarium bay, just behing the rock on your left it is aquarium bay. Best bay in the whole south Albania
