so i played this build to 400 corruption until i tried something else. 400 is really ez & smooth. Everything dies instantly, bosses take like 5-7 seconds and i still miss a couple of upgrades (no lp on the amulet, boots, relic, weapon + garbage rings and gloves with no experimental affix for ward). Every strength upgrade feels like a powerspike. Minions die very rarerly (700% minion health - no shield). I switched to Summon Wolf to increase my dmg with the extra companion since iam so tanky (even though iam not res capped) and every Crow Storm from swipe and the minion ability (on the dummy) deals like 9-11m dmg + auto attacks from the crows (200-500k each).Clearspeed is fine (leap from group to group, 1 tempest strike + swipe == death). Good build Kripp, love it.

Probably swipe. Kripp was using summon wolf from the beginning until lv 70+ and then he took the wolf out for swipe

1 thing I would suggest is using bear tree to see if the "bear swipe" will cause the storm crow ability to activate. This might work idk needs test. Good build!

Unfortunately it does not work - Primal resonance node specifically cant be triggered by other minions using swipe and I also tested it - no go

The cleaver solution has lots of uses. The best way to scale into high corruption is to tank up. Stacking str with the cleaver and going low life with the exsanguinous body armour is a very common way of doing that on pretty much every class. Well, okay, I guess that is kinda only one use...

Hey Kripp, love the build. I noticed it has one too many buttons so I changed swipe to eterra's blessing. Then got the node that triggered EB with leap. Turned the warcry into a taunting totem and the crows turned immortal zealots. Was already destroying everything with the birds so I went for some quality of life boosts.

Scorpion don't really feel like it fits on a BM. That's just IMO. You have all these tundra and prehistoric megafauna as pets and then ... a Scorpion??? Wtf, Egypt? But yeah, it is fun and powerful.

am playing this build since early beta and started it in 1.0 as it hit. You can get an additional companion by speccing into wolf tree btw. so you have 6 crows

Besides movemen it doesnt really give anything. minions already get up to 200 spelldmg from tempest strike so 15 more spell dmg are pretty much irrelevant. and the cast speed from frenzy is not needed, since you are using the crow storm ability as your main dmg, which does not scale with cast speed.

If you drop leap you lose a lot of survivability. Cant comment on the damage comparison but at least for hc it's definitely not worth it. Damage will never be the issue on this build. Also you say "besides movement It doesnt give anything" like movement isnt important, its VERY important arguably more than any kind of damage increase you could get with anything else.

I've only played squirrels for a couple levels after getting the helmet, but people report that it got nerfed for 1.0 and just isn't that great anymore.

@@Goldy01i played it with dual weilding apogees, and while it does a lot of damage, its mechanic with the apogees is not there, and that`s because you can`t revive them fast enough to actually enable the apogee passive (which gives berserk mode for you and your minions, plus it boosts the freeze rate i think) . Basically, you have like 10 squirrels (thanks to the helmet, since it doubles your current wolf number, so if u had 5, it goes to 10 and if u had 4 it goes to 8 and so on...) , and the less squirrels remains, the more attack speed and dps output you dish with them, but the biggest problem is when they all get aoe`d down and all of them dies and you are left alone, and saddly with this build, alone its not good for you,since your minions dish the most dmg and you are basically a support to enable your squirrels to dish that sweet dmg. If you go for squirrels, go for the traditional build, or try making one yourself, and if you go for apogee (its the ice sword from reign of dragons) , don`t let your minions be squishy, invest in minion life, otherwise, you`l be left too many times vulnerable (specially soulfire bastion T3 and above or high corruption), but if you want to play it for fun, yea its really fun to use, its quite braindead.

I really like the idea of capping ward at 2x character max HP. It allows you to reign in ward without breaking any items. Maybe give the caster classes the ability to get more temporarily through the skill tree or passives.

How strong is this build without the ward stuff? I don't like ward. It's too broken. But it seems this build can be very tanky even without ward. And what exactly is the amulet frozen eyes of formosus for? Just cold dmg increase for crows? Wouldn't there be better alternatives?

Sadly ward is just too good atm to not use it wherever you can. Dont expect to be nowhere near as tanky without it. I suggest playing a dexterity based mastery if you dont wanna deal with ward, like falconer or bladedancer.

Nope because lightning blast is a mage ability and mages use int. STill though it should be mentioned in the tool tip that the crows attacks are a mage spell that uses int to scale.

@@RM_3D Im pretty sure that crows lightning blast is meant to be different ability to the mage lightning blast. Its just plain stupid that it scales with int. You dont see acolyte minions scale with attunment, for example. Outside of cleaver solution+ravens there are literally no reason to stack int. Its veird af, and doesnt have enogh stacking for it to be meaningful for the build. Even here you got str+int scaling.

There is a second skill in the game that scales STR & INT: Runebolt with a certain passive node. But it also scales off of team member's strength, so it's more minmaxed in a multiplayer situation without cleaver solution.

doing this same build atm but dual wielding with apogee of frozen light for the +3 to minion skills, storm crow just has a shitload of damage multiplier nodes which makes + levels crazy good, it also lets you spec into the totem node on warcry to turn it into a minion skill and give you more points for the frenzy + haste nodes. there is an also option to turn the crow into a movement skill then drop leap for wolf, then just dump points in it for +1 companion to get 6 crows.

The BM pets feel really weak and outdated unfortunately. It's a shame the best companion available to the mastery isn't even in its own tree. Rework the Raptor/Sabertooth trees at least!

@@thoronirgros188 The pets are very strong. The sabertooth can delete T4 bosses in a few seconds. The beastmaster is one of the strongest class in the game. Check the youtuber "the curse" he has some of the strongest beastmaster builds. Killing T4 Julra in less than 15sec is no joke, 25 millions crit on earthquake crit build is insane.

Great build! No more words here... I'm playing this game for more than 3 years and I've tried a lot of builds. This strange "beastmaster" with no beasts is one of the best (fast and fun to play). Just ONE question to you Kripp... If you were to experiment and replace swipe with a "beast" skill (apparently resonating with cold) would it be a cold scorpion or a cold sabertooth tiger? All defense goes pre ward, not post ward. So ward is simply far more health than normal health in a "low life" build. And all classes get free "ward" gain mechanics to specc cheap into this health pool.
