Great video. I’ve been researching engravers that are affordable, and the Ortur seems worth the money. I think it would really help turn my hobby into something I could make a little money.

I’m hoping to pick up the Ortur 2 soon based on your recommendation. I’m going to use it to engrave charcuterie boards, coasters, etc. Just gotta try and sale a few projects first. 🤣

Is there a list of what items I will need to make this system operate to lay logo or name on to wood products? I guess I would need to know of software needed to make the system work. Just tell me everything to make it work. Maybe, if I could cut some wood panels for some wooden kits. Thank you, Steven
@burnstockwoodworking Жыл бұрын
The software I use is Lightburn, it seems to be the easiest to operate and there are a ton of tutorials on YT that explain how to use it. It's a one time payment of $60 to purchase it, totally worth every cent.

I love crafts, I am always creating something, so I decided to buy a laser machine. I got the ortur 3 LE because it was cheaper. I've been having mine for over 6 months now. It was very frustrating to find any tutorials on how to use, now it's the first time in a while I am trying again. I am part of my groups of engraving that are always sharing ideas and files, I got the feel on how to use Lightburn but when creating something there's a lot info to be add. Is there any site, any online tool that help step by step on what to do, how to engrave, cut etc... literally the abc on engraving?
@burnstockwoodworking Жыл бұрын
There are a few videos out there that go through step by step, they're a little long winded but very helpful.

@@burnstockwoodworking does this one cut decent? Or is this one better for engraving?
@burnstockwoodworking Жыл бұрын
@@CorbyQ this one is better suited for engraving, though it will cut thin stock. XTool is sending me their P2 which is very good for cutting (3/4 walnut even) but it is substantially more expensive. Stay tuned, because I'm about to do an engraver giveaway to a subscriber.
