The BEST Blastoise Team! | Non-Legendary | Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green

Hey everyone! Here are my thoughts on what the Best Blastoise Team to use in Kanto! Please keep in mind that this video is entirely opinion based. If you want to make changes to this team please do! At the end of the day it is your team to playthrough with and enjoy as you wish! Let me know if you like this team or have suggestions for a better team to use in Fire Red or Leaf Green version. As someone who’s spent a ridiculous amount of time analyzing this, this is one of the better teams I’ve seen suggested. Nice job on your explanations for your choices, and kudos for showing the team recap at the end. Some creators don’t do that and I don’t understand why

A small correction, but in Gen3 type-boosting items (charcoal, mystic water, etc) only boost attacks by 10%. It was changed to 20% in gen4

A better alternative to gengar would be kadabra, he will level up faster and is stronger than Mr. Mime. When I ever play Pokémon games to beat the games as fast as possible I catch an abra because kadabra over levels very fast and is super strong and fast. I would set the kadabra like this Nature: modest Ability: synchronize Held Item: twisted spoon Move set: Psychic, Calm Mind, Psybeam, and Future Sight This is how I set up my kadabras hope it will help.

This one is tricky since the Gengar line is the only ghost type in the game. Haunter isn’t as good, but still hits hard and shares all the immunities Gengar has if you’d like to use it. If not, any psychic type can be good to at least fill the same role offensively

@@Lemonsqueezr cut is a really bad battle move. I usually teach it to a boxed Pokémon and only take it out when I need it. Paras in mt moon can learn it or meowth

I like this idea but if I taught EQ to Blastoise I wouldn’t be able to use the tm on Nidoking. In these games tms are single use

Bite has to stay on the moveset. Dark moves are rare, and if you get the flinch that 60 turns to 120 allowing you to use it again.

And the strongest electric threats in the game are magneton in Cerulean Cave. Teaching Blastoise brick break instead of rain dance will handle that and fend off Lorelei better.
