Gabe - Crabbing Daddy here from Southern Maryland. Excellent advice about the Children. I always took mine out on the water when I went to work. Always kept the little one in the cabin in the car seat , but Daddy had to make a living. All 4 grew up on Crabs and fish and to this day they Love, Cherish and Respect Gods Resources and what HE provides for us. Keep up the good work and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY MY BROTHER!

More sooks are caught then Jimmy's. Commercial guys here in Maryland like myself survive on all the bushels of sooks the wholesalers buy from us. Different times of the season calls for different catch. Males by far are better quality meat. Boiling them is an insult. Steam those bad boys. You need water, budweiser, J.O. seasoning or Old bay in a steam pot. And get cooking

Yes Sir! The young man answers. Well bred and well mannered. Gabe, I salute you. I raised my kids the same way as well as their Mom would let me. She was on a different page but eventually life experience made up for that. Any way, I hope your kids will be able to do those activities when they are your age. The times are changing. I have hunted in Steinhatchee..........umm smells real good. I have spent HOURS eating blue crab and unless it is shell or devil fingers I ate it!! I also have an original recipe for Cuban Crab Rolls!!

The first time I ever remember my dad swearing he dropped an f bomb after a blue crab clamped down on his finger. Maryland. God fearing swear to God. Luke handled that like a champ. Ps we got that crab and he was delicious My dad needed stitches btw..

Gabe, I love that you've taught your children manners. Kids nowadays aren't respectful. When I was a kid, I would never dream of calling an adult by their first name without putting Miss or Mister in front of it.. I still call my elders by Miss or Mister.

I love this show ( and blue crab ). I got engaged in Steinhachee in 1996 in a restaurant on the river. My father in law created the first hunting club there in the 70's. Used to go fishing there for sea trout. Thank you for bringing back the memories, Bluegabe. Now l am living in Corsica. You are welcome if one day you want to come. It is a beautiful Mediteranean island.

When I was a teenager, I used to help my Grandpa who was a commercial crabber..We pulled up those traps by hand! After 150 traps or so, it was a little tiring..haha!
