Im glad out of love is getting appreciation! It came out in 2020 and Hazel is a writer for screenplays and also now books! I've been watching her on KZbin for years and adored her wit and creativity so like you, I was obsessed with this book. She has another coming out this year and I'm so excited!

The vanishing half is such a good book - if you like that one I honestly think you would love the personal librarian. I just went and added the moth keeper to my cart after you talked about. The tea dragon society series is just so wholesome and beautiful so you didn't steer me wrong! Picking a favourite is too difficult this year I read some stellar books. One that was phenomenal was the lives of puppets by t j klune. I think you would love that one. If you want more kickass women read Clytemnestra or the weaver and the witch queen both amazing reads! And if you want some that gets you in the feels but is also real live, remarkably bright creatures and as long as the lemon tree grow. I could go on but our taste is different so hope you find at least one in there you love!

The Wayward Children series by Seanan Mcguire is SO good, and I wish more people would read it. I fell in love when I read Every Heart a Doorway and realized the MC was on the asexual spectrum; my teen self could have used that. If I had to pick one book, my favorite was Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. It's the one book from this year that I can't stop thinking or talking about, and the one that's stayed with me the most.
