The Knight also shows a level of intelligence. If you do the shield move a second time, the night will actually try blocking it your attack with his sword, meaning to hit him from the back.

6:48 Funnily enough, the new Wave 2 DLC update makes it to where you can turn off the cinematic camera on Sonic’s moves. As well as a bunch of other quality of life improvements. But yeah, this boss fight is the definition of epic.

The ending to this fight is beautiful, the music feels like it's about to end, the getting knocked out of Knight's hand let's you know this fight is over and some know what Sonic is about to do with it, the music slows down as he picks it up, when he cuts him in half, he explodes and it just truly feels like the end of that whole thing, kinda sad to.

I love comboing using the quick cyloop to do the astral sword stabbing animation, then he usually attacks you and you can parry it, then do the animation with the heel kick, it’s a great combo that adds lots of spectacle to the fight

You described my thoughts when it comes to this boss so well. Some of my gripe with many bosses, specifically Sonic bosses many times, is that you just have to dodge an attack until an opening appears, hit it once, repeat the pattern a certain number of times. This game changed that - some of my favorite bosses of all time. I really hope they expand on this style of boss fight in future installments because these are some of the absolute best in the series.

Probably my favorite boss in the game, this boss has an interesting location, a dried magma crater, has the I think the best theme in the game, has the best cinematics, and is the first titan that has weapons of its own, and by far I think the coolest looking design for any titan. Knight has a bit of battle intelligence by being the most agile titan when it comes to the saw shield segment, and trying to swing sonic off its sword by jumping in the air, and spinning towards a wall and trying to crush sonic. The ending is so beautiful by being reference to Black knight and A sonic fan game, Final Fantasy Sonic.

I liked the Knight battle because it was actually smart and you had to be strategic about where you wanted to hit because sometimes when you try to hit him, he’d lift up his shield. Also the fuckin Find your Flame OST IS FUCKING BRILLIANT.

Id find myself replaying them all the time as a kid, looking for ways to get better or end the fight quicker. The storybook games aren’t perfect, but they don’t get enough credit

Something I've noticed on repeat fights with Knight is that Kellin's singing calms down as the song ends, making it sound (to me at least) like the game is a little upset that Kellin's involvement in songs is done in this particular game.

Gotta admit, KNIGHT has a very high skill ceiling & is easily the best boss fight, design wise in Frontiers. My only gripe though is that, because of its high skill ceiling, you need to practise this fight & fail multiple times, in-order to figure out the optimal gameplan for every phase of the fight & given how it's still a nightmare to replay Titan fights, unless you're on PC, this is gonna be brutal for some players that arent prioritising combat in their play-through, like you can definitely tell THIS was definitely the final boss at 1 point. Still amazing to fight against, but PLEASE Sonic Team, just let us rematch The Titan's without Battle Rush, because trying to figure out KNIGHT in 1 attempt at his fight, isn't going to be easy, like it ain't designed like that.

7:30 You have to do it on phase 1 and the more moves you do the less likely it is to happen, so its better to do a homing atack then stomp then 2nd cyloop. (The more health he has, the most likely for him to be knocked out btw)

I am not gonna lie compare to the titan, perfect dark gia gets completely destroyed. All sonic does is flying straight then just collided into the purple snake (while dodging his attacks) then the QTE happens which happen 6 times then the 60 mash button, then finally you moving straight again as the final hit. All I am saying is that the titans boss fight in my own opinion, is just completely over everything single boss I every encountered in history

Fun fact - Spoilers for new update Theres updated dialogue in the new script where Knights titan pilot challenges you to a rematch as part of some trials. He mentions that he was the protoge of the elder koco and helped design the titans Also in the days of the ancients he was revered as a hero just like Sonic So its basically Sonic Vs Sonic

If the perfect parry was a passive thing the whole game, wyvern could have been a great CHALLENGING bossfight. You can expirience this in the master king kocos trial [which i think isnt even that hard], you have to concentrate way more on when it is going to hit you or not. The perfect parry also pairs well with knight, especially the second phase. Now you cant just fly near it and hold parry until it hits you and defeat this titan, no, you have to time it CORRECTLY, so you wont be stuck in this phase for too long and that you dont lose time when you get hit.

My first qualm is, yeah, trying to hit it before shielding, i didnt know about the dodge after hitting the shield but i did know about hitting it during its movement The second is trying to navigate the shield to hit the boss in the first place, and you cant really see where the missiles are coming but especially not in switch undocked and ESPECIALLY not if your boss rush encounter or save file has the island in night time And the final one is trying to parry the shield at it when it moves around real fast in the second phase, because out of nowhere it can SWITCH direction and your shot will just miss Puzzle and interaction? Yeah this boss does it best but compared to the others it can be a pain, not to complete successfully but just to..complete since 400 rings is typically long enough to finish the fight If Wyvern didnt have an automated path, trying to catch it and follow it and parry the missiles would be much harder, but also WAY less convenient. Yes there would be more challenge but in my opinion for the wrong reason If that fight was like a circular arena where Wyvern did various motions around it and not just like Knight and had freely moveable sonic then that would make Wyvern better I still like Wyvern the most because just getting the parries and seeing the cinematics and QTEs along with whaling on it while it flails around with THE CRAZIEST ROCK SONG IN THE GAME, LEGIT DEATH METAL SCREAMING IS SO SATISFYING But I like what happened with knight even if i appreciate a less interactive and creative or free, or even difficult, fight over it Chair meme funny but I thought youd say metal face tbh Also can we please be able to freely play these bosses without having to go through the entire waves of enemies before them at some point? Would be nice QoL so people can experiment with guardians and titans whenever they like. Ideally would be something for those who have A ranked the boss rush too

You can consistantly dodge the hand by staying on the spot the game places you in after entering the crater. This boss is probably the best in the game, even if I prefer the themes of Giganto and Wyvern over this one. Though I do have one gripe with this fight... The pre-fight presence. Knight shows up attacks Sonic and isn't seen untill the fight. Giganto showed up, out classed Sonic completelly, and could(if you got up high enough) be seen looming in this distance. Wyvern shows up, fires a barrage of missiles, and then proceeds to loom over you until the fight, even casting a shadow over you to enforce the idea that Wyvern is a constant threat. Supreme just shows up and you fight it. So from best to worst pre-fight presense: Wyvern Giganto Knight Supreme

Yeah supreme I’m mixed on, I go into that in that video which will release in 2 weeks. The frontiers dlc has honestly greatly exceeded my expectations! There’s so much more hours of playtime with it and it’s fun to go through all of it, really excited for update 3!

Yeah I think the reason why Supreme is just reskin of Giganto is because it's supposed to be a combination of the other 3: Looks like Giganto, Flys like Wyvern and uses a weapon like Knight but as we all know it only checks off one thing off and it's that it looks like Giganto

personally was a bit disappointed by this boss - the gameplay mechanics were great, but by this point in the game, my sonic was upgraded, so it took very little to take knight down. also, you genuinely have to try to die by losing rings in this fight - the game keeps adding rings back up to 100 after certain cutscenes for whatever reason

Nah. I'll take Wyvern over the boss that either has you picking between a long shield riding segment or blitzing him to Phase 2 in a matter of seconds. I don't find completely wrecking a boss and removing all its cool factor fun. I also don't find it speening around aimlessly in Phase 2 fun. I'd like the boss fight to have boss... FIGHT me, something only Wyvern consistently does. More options =/= Higher quality boss. Not when those options turn the boss into a complete joke... minus the 2nd phase it doesn't need your help doing that.

During the first attempt, it K.Oed me, no joke, 3 times, due to how OBNOXIX the spike placements is, and how it keep combing me when I attempt to gain rings, and heck there's was this moment were it K.Oed me WHEN I STILL HAD RINGS LEFT! The fact that YOU don't get the satisfaction of getting the kill on this asshole for rather it's the Titan's sword that kills it just adds farther full to the fire! Music kept stopping with the quick time events, mechanics were dogwater, and barely anything made me feel a great sense of excitement or joy.
