I am a local to Silverstone and went to watch after a 7 year gap. It was a fantastic weekend and I even managed to take a picture of The Kym Illman in a hat😂 Chapeau to Red Bull that car was just untouchable this weekend. From a Brits POV the crowd was so excited with cheers for Lewis, Lando, George and Alex in particular. Respectful of all drivers putting on the show and a bit of pantomime booing of Max. Max drove flawlessly all weekend, even though he is a marmite character, I have to say brilliant drive.

Thanks for the Goodwood FOS heads-up. The trouble with any social media is, when you look at one totally off-topic thing once, it opens a Pandora's Box of pointless links that bury your preferred categories. As the FOS is an annual event, it gets stuffed way down the order. Back to F1 - thinking of finally doing Melbourne next March for the Aussie F1. It will be nuts if there are still two Aussies in the race by then.

Most of the race was like watching paint dry. It was only the last laps that it got interesting. It was great seeing Lando come P2 though. And Danny Ric is back!! He must be agreeing to go to Alfa Tauri because either the Alfa Tauri will get all of the Redbull Design or he's got a chance at the 2nd Redbull seat.

The race last year was better, this one was good too give it an 8th , but last years one was 1 of the best I ever saw, a fight for podium places between 5 teams, Charles his move on the outside of copse on Lewis on old tyres compares to Lewis his new ones (and a broken endplate ) a spectacular start crash (come on everyone loves a spectacular one (if the driver is ok offcourse )

Literally one of the worst races of the year. Lando’s start was fun, and Lando’s defense of Lewis for two laps while warming the hards was gripping. The rest was a dull processional bore. No strategy, no overtaking, 3 second gaps from front to back. None of the compelling midfield action we’ve had the rest of the year, despite everyone not named Max being closer than ever in qualifying. It was good to see mclaren on form but that race was the worst of the year.

NO!! 1987, 1991 , 1992 Mansell, I was there, also Damon Hill's win, and Herbert's win, and Coulthards win, and Lewis's first win in the rain , I was there for all of them! Oh plus Senna in 88. In fact I was at every Grand Prix in the UK from 87 to 2011. I've quit F1 now, cars are computerised boring quiet oversized and driven by playstation kids. Only an Australian could ask is this the best British GP of all time when a F..... Dutch guy wins in an energy drinks team!
