8:45 I think you're wrong about not having another wire laying around like that. I used to have one port like this, but from what I know about this is half of the port on the hard drive resembles Micro-USB. I remember using Micro USB with my Western Digital and I was shocked that it actually worked. Try the technique by the way the one I have is Western Digital Elements but I am pretty sure it will work with this one as well. Let me know if it does work for anyone. Note: The data transfer speed might be slower though.

My wife and I absolutely love our UE Boom 2 Bluetooth speakers! No they are not budget (about $150 each) but we have had them for more than five years and use them nearly every day. So it’s nearly $25 per year and that’s budget, right? They are definitely loud enough and can connect together for a multi-speaker set-up. We use them for music off our phones, our one near us while watching movies after the kids go to bed, I used them to listen to podcasts for hand-free in the car (before we had a bluetooth-enabled van), and any other time we were outside of the house. They have a micro USB port for charging and connecting without Bluetooth, a ring for use with a carabiner (which it used to do in my Army vehicle), and they about the size of a water bottle. All of this with a fourteen-hour battery, which yes, I have tested them for that long!. Ultimate Ears Boom 2 (Boom 3 available now) are just awesome. Definitely my all-time favorite accessory.
