I have this camera owned since new from 2018, I am a casual user and it has never let me down, I bought it for its size, versatility, portability, ease of use and large sensor. The functions are the same/similar to the bigger DSLR's, so best of both worlds. I also purchased the VILTROX lens adapter for the EF/EF-S lenses and an extra battery. This is a small power house of a camera and well capable most scenarios, its unassuming size hides it impressive performance.

actually this is the perfect lowest budget camera for filming weddings, it shoots better 1080 than Sony's a6000 series, but why film on 1080p and not 4k? 4k files are huge consuming too much space, it causes overheating, need a high performance computer for smooth video editing. I could just use the m100 with viltrox 23mm 1.4 to shoot a whole wedding event with great footage and some colour grading.

MrBeast posted his Videos at 1080p, 1080p with a good bitrate it upscales in very good quality. And you say it, 4k files are hugh, cost a lot of time and rendering power. For me 1080p is absolutely fine, too.

Just render in 4K with high bit rate.

Having switched from EF and EF-M to the RF series cameras and lenses, I still keep my pocketable obscure white M100. Too bad there will never be an adapter for RF series lenses to EF-M cameras due to the 2mm difference in distance. Not enough space to hang an RF lens from. I find the non L RF series lenses sharpness to be excellent. For my M100, I'll just use the EF adapted and EF-M series lenses. Thanks for the video!

I think this is the perfect travel, hiking and lifestyle camera. I have a Canon R for client work, but I find myself grabbing and using this far more often. The photo quality to portability/size ratio is insane especially with the 22mm.

Just bought one of these secondhand/almost new but it came with no lens. I am new to camera technology but can you take a photo without attaching a lens. And I heard you say you use a 22m F2 lens is that the recommended lens for this camera. Help please.

This is my main go to camera now. I bought back over a year ago and I hardly travel with my EOS R5. Portability, Versatility & performance. Put a 22mm on it and you are good to go.

why?
@keyanna23856 ай бұрын
@@Jonh927 it’s a very nice lightweight camera, however you may have to buy a M mount because most canon lenses are Ef. On top of the quality with the original Lens just being okay, I feel as though my iPhone quality matches the quality of this camera. With that being said I’m still learning about.
@Jonh9276 ай бұрын
@@keyanna2385 thank you, I'm thinking I should probably start with sony since they all use the same mount and if I truly enjoy the hobby that way I'll only need to upgrade the body

NEVER buy into a dead camera mount.

That's terrible advice. The used market is FULL of outdated gear that will be available for many years to come. Lots of stuff out there in like new condition for a fraction of the cost of brand new stuff.
@ControlTouchMaster7 ай бұрын
Why? With a EF-M to EF/EF-S adapter or speedbooster you can stock up on EF/EF-S lenses, which can later be used with RF cameras with a RF to EF/EF-S adapter.

I got the M200 and it's been so good for learning the basics and the ability to get into some advance techniques. Not everything needs to be the latest and greatest.

Bought a half-cage that adds a grip and a Swiss Arca compatible tripod mount. Makes it much more usable.

I own a M100 and I believe this camera is very underrated. The quality of the photos is fantastic and its low light performance for photography is not bad at all considering that this was a 300$ camera. I have taken some of my best street photos with this camera and made some great prints as well and I couldn't believe this was all done with such a low budget camera. It may not be a good camera for video (doesnt even support 4k) but for photography this is a beast in a tiny cage 🔥

Actually the custom options for the buttons are few and quite useless... I use only the lock auto exposure. For everything else you need the screen, which I don't mind but at least one custom mode button would be great ! I would love one for the magnify function since I mostly use manual lenses with full manual mode

I hold the camera with my thumb on the base. my index finger to the left of the mode dial and press shutter with middle finger. When shooting from a low angle I swap around and press shutter with thumb with index finger next to lens and middle finger on base. I love the absolute simplicity and adjust most settings before I leave home depending on the light of the day and then make onscreen adjustments. I don't care that it is not a current model, my M10 is still going strong so my M200 still has at least another 10 years lifespan. My Fuji X-M1 is also going strong at 11 years old
