Definitely love how the MPE suspension improved the DRZ, except that I can hardly reach now 😂. Xtrainer cost about $2400 all up, MPE is great value for sure. Sounds like you've got the CRF ready for anything!

Great video thanks Ricko - seriously considering a CRF300 but the suspension seems to be the killer.

Also, I would love a comparison video between your DRZ and CRF300L - the two bikes I'm considering! Depending on the type of riding etc, really interesting to hear you say you'd prefer to ride the 300 (even though it has a lot less power?).

That maybe a problem. I’ve just about sold the DRZ this weekend. However I maybe able to do something in the next couple of days. Stay tuned. Great idea.

@@rickos_moto ahh that's awesome - good job on the sale. Yeah a comparison between riding on the road (highway speeds, traffic riding etc), and different areas of dirt (easy vs hard enduro). Would love to hear your opinion as a fellow QLDer - as the DRZ-E in Aus with the extra power/better carb is held in such a high regard - but getting a bit long in the tooth now.

Even just your thoughts, doesn't have to be a side by side comparison on the road. Though if its still in your garage side by side height getting on and off it would be cool :) Assume the DRZ is taller?

Nice info vid. I would have gone that way, but decided to try the DFX valve kit and a YSS. How much was the shock stuff alone. Might do mine as a backup.

Which Motox exhaust do you have ? And are you happy with it ?

Moto-x version 1. The oem spark arrestor is loud so I ordered the baffle from biker bits in thailand. I then modified it by drilling 4 of the 8 holes out to 8mm.
Great video Ricko, not too expensive for the suspension mods either. I can see myself downsizing to something like the CRF300 rally one day, at 64 I do find the T7 a bloody big and heavy bike, especially after a decent ride like the recent one. Cheers mate 👍👍🍻🍻

Haha im thinking of getting a t7 soon enough to tell you the truth. Just for a bit more power. But I may also go down the big bore route and ecu as well. Just for better high way “lugging”. Every where else in the power band the bike runs well.

Are these parts available in the US?

Pretty sure the racetech fork kit and rear spring kit is. But you would need to speak to a suspension shop in relation the valving.

How tall do you think you would have to be to ride this bike?
@rickos_moto Жыл бұрын
On the stock suspension weight i would recommend 65-75kgs and a height of 5f’6inches would be ok. With modified suspension without lowering id say at least 5’8.
