I sold my Valkyrie last year. Best bike ever and my 2nd favorite bike of all time. GL1800 is my fav, but the Valkyrie is a razor close 2nd. A Valkyrie with a 6 into 6 exhaust….OMG the sound is beyond addicting. Had I have kept the bike, I would have pulled the carbs and cleaned and rejetted them. My plan is to get at least 1 more Valkyrie, I will get a Interstate and maybe a tourer. My last one was a base model. Love the Videos Cody (hope I spelled that correctly), you have helped me rebuild and jet the carbs on my VT100 I had. Great Channel

I just found you after lots of years of carb frustration. Thank you, "Baby Jesus!" I have 3 bikes that have run since before Covid with old gas and clogged jets.

Love what you do. I'm in the UK and have enjoyed watching the content on the 185 . Some of the models you cover are us models only. Valarie was not available in Europe. But love to learn how to 😊😊😊

Do you have a video showing timing belt replacement for a Honda Valkyrie GL 1500?

The best way to sync is with light. a fluorescent bar on the air filter side and a flux meter on the nozzle side. that works so much cleaner than vacuum meters. I have a Valkyrie myself. which runs better than a new one from the factory

Carbs caught me out again this week too. Clean like new, obviously overhauled... but for whatever reason the float needles were worn. Easy fix, but a lot of work relatively. Also the spring in the vacuum fuel valve was missing 🤷🏼♂️?!

The heck?! Someone was in there!

@@TheMotorcycleMD Like the carbs, I think it was refurbished, but someone apparantly forgot to put in the spring. Oh well...

I need to clean the carbs on my 2000 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. Do you have a video on that or are you strictly a Honda shop? Your videos are excellent btw.

Had my (new to me) 99 standard Valkyrie for just over a year. It's not running right. I get 22 mpg. I can't get above 95 mph most of the time, although once it easily ran up to 120 ish before I backed off. I guess something opened up or something, but that only happened once. It's usually sounds a big rough and people behind me can smell fuel. I'm leery of attempting such a big job, but I can't afford $1500 in a shop. I do most of my own maintenance, brakes, fluids, fork oil, etc. Do you think a carb job is what's needed for this bike?
@JonahCrisanti-hi3bo4 ай бұрын
Hey, Sam. I'm in same situation. Just got my first Valkyrie. 1998 standard with 35k miles. She runs well, but I can definitely smell fuel when I get off the bike. More so than with my Honda VLX that I'm coming from. I'm not sure if it's a carb issue.
