I was looking for a tank alternative for a while...and this Lip is so damn cool with its own style and not just being homage. I will be getting this one. Was thinking about Rotary but it will be probably little bit too big or on the very edge for my 7 inch wrist. Lip is also available in my country and every store allows sending it back if I still somehow don't like it. Crazy good and informative video. Thank you!

Hi cosymoon, i actually had the pleasure of trying it for real, and trust me this watch is amazing, not only for it's history but also the way it wears ! You will never send it back ! I cannot wait to have it for myself but i need to wait till i have the money for it, already bought two watches and hey i'm not a rich man. The Seiko Sup 880 (Solar) is just off scale (big), plus I think the band width is an odd 23mm. I'm hooked on Cartier Tank styles and the' best is the middle one which was discontinued. Dugena looked good. The one on Ali too small (I had one). Enjoyed vid and just subed.

Thanks for the subscription, if you understand the proportions it means you have taste, people don't understand that even the Cartier tank xl was something they came out after to "sell" to a wider audience, but it has nothing to do with the classical, beautiful, refined original tank. Even on bigger wrist the xl version looks "goofy". Don't loose that "eye". Cheers ! :)

thanks for the research. that Lip T18 looks very close to a vintage Oris that i really like, but can’t afford or find (discontinued long ago). might have to hunt for the Lip T18... i like the Rotary Cambridge too, but possibly over priced for the brand. wish Seiko didn’t discontinue that middle sized one. that one is truly their perfect one. but that Dugena! i think i agree with you. that’s the best one there, if we’re hunting for a Cartier Tank homage. again, thanks for all the research.

Nice video. I mostly wear a dive or field watch or a Casio square G to fit my daily activities. For some reason I suddenly had a coup de coeur for the Cartier tank despite it not fitting my lifestyle. Been researching the Rotary all week but it just seems too big. I then stumbled across the Lip Churchill T18 and pulled the trigger immediately. It should be arriving in Australia in the next 2 weeks from France. Super excited. I paid about EUR 140 for the watch and an extra bracelet.

Before Watching the video, I had come to the same conclusion: Dugena is the most similar to the Cartier t. Solo, the other ones are too big and make it lose all the elegance. As a twenty years old, sometimes I find it really hard to find and buy elegant stuff at an affordable price and this videos are so efficient! Do you think Dugena with gold case would be nice If I put a brown/ cognac belt instead of the black one? Salut

Thanks for your comment, and yes you're right, they were small, the XL version came later and looks like a TV on wrist honestly, you loose the "elegance" side of them when they're too big. And to answer your question, yes you can wear a "woman" model because they have the specs of what man were wearing in the past ! just take the measures of the place it will take on the wrist, and you will see how it will fit. If you are not sure, watch my review on the "Yema tank" and see how it fits on my wrist, it should fit like that and you can even go a "slight" less than that. Of course the finishes of the watch need to be "man oriented" and if there's a gem on the crown it does not matter because the Cartier has one as well. Often the gems are blue on the Seiko watches like the Cartier. My answer is go for it !

Would love to know your thoughts on digital watches such as Casio. I have a real love/hate relationship with them. I love the accuracy, price and functionality but on the other hand they are all very ugly. I must confess I wear one about 80% of the time. Hi chuck. So first it's Lip not Tip. Important because you need to write it right. So go on Lip.fr and translate the page via google. Then go on watch for men and order the Lip T18 and not the Lip T24. I repeat the Lip T18 and not the Lip T24. You have 2 versions, the T24 is larger. And take the quartz it's cheaper than the automatic and wonderful (ronda quartz slimtech). Then you follow the process and pay for the delivery for your country. Easy. You welcome.

If your wrist can rock it i wouldn't be shocked if choose to wear one, but i cannot present this watch when it is for girls in a man's watch video. But yeah i know about the sw053 and was disappointed when i saw it was for ladies. But go for it if your wrist are really tiny, it looks like the cartier ! no doubt ! but i would peronnaly not.
