Some years ago, I met an apparently wild cat looking like this one, hiding/resting in bushes, while I was going to a lunch... The poor thing was missing a leg, quite firty, and hungry. Since the place I was lunching was a self service, I took an extra of meat : sauvage, ham and pathé, and put it on a plate for him ( or her ). While (s)he was eating I examined its missing leg, and saw a nice scar, most likely an operation result I though, meaning the cat may belong to someone, and just went of in a heat period... I stayed a little with this cute fellah, but eventually, I had to return home. The next day I was leaving the town for good, I was finishing m'y preparations... I felt bad for that cat, and though of bringing it with me, or at least bring it to competent people to find its owner... So I waited, and returned the next morning to check if the cat was around... But it moved on : nowhere to be found. Time to time, I think if this cat... thinking if I ever made the good choice to wait, back then ; if it truely had an owner... and I can only hope (s)he's going well.

There is actually a reason for it! At the base of there tail is a nerve that if scratched sets of there “groom” mod. Kinda similar to how dogs kick like there trying to scratch something; cats lick like there grooming themselves.

His? That's a calico. It is EXTREMELY rare for them to be male (they have to be either XXY or a chimera to be male). Far more likely the cat is female.

Cats all have various neurosis that make them such wonderful animals. Our first cat loved having his armpits scratched, and would groom himself as long as the scratches kept coming. Another one had an obsession with my glasses, and would climb onto my shoulder and try to steal them. And one of the cats we have now grinds his teeth when his ears are getting scratched.

Aww! I love this. Such a lovely kitty. Beautiful colours on its fur too. I have a kitten named Ginger Beans. He's getting neutered on October 19 2021. He's been freaking out about the outside because he has reached maturity. They become maturely sexual at around four months sometimes sooner. It's been three months for my little furry man. He's a big boy too almost 5 pounds has more to grow too. He's a large breed. He has large muscle's too because I keep him activite. He will slow down a bit after being neutered. He can settle down with me and not worry about running away for females. Also, they live longer. ☺️👍❣️

late to the party, but ive heard that they do that little mouth movement because that area would be licked by the mother to get the kittens to nurse, so the kitty is looking for the teet :) most domestic cats retain this kitten behavior
