You’re a life saver thank you so much for this video! Just bought the zv e1 body only second hand and honestly spent way too much time researching lenses.

if I get the Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens, can I still change the apertures on the lens using my camera menu settings or f1.4 just the max that lens
@DianaGladney6 ай бұрын
The way lenses work with cameras is they showcase the lowest aperture that lens can do when promoting the focal length. Unless the lens specifies it's stuck at that f-stop/aperture only, that's the only time you have to worry about being stuck at a certain aperture. Those are usually specialty prime lenses like 8mm at f8.0 or something. However, with any of the lenses I mentioned, that's not the case. So, if you want to use the Sigma 16mm lens, you can go as low as f1.4 or bump it up to like f2.8 or f4 if you want a deeper depth of field. So, you'll have the flexibility you want.

Useful video, thank you :) Hows your hand tho?

My pleasure! Glad this video was helpful! My hand is getting better. I pulled a muscle in my hand somehow and strained my wrist. So, keeping it wrapped for a while until it’s better. Thankfully it’s improving so all is well.

It’s amazing that the 16 2.8 is STILL $248. I have that lens with the wide angle and fisheye converter. Don’t use them as often as I’d like but I won’t get rid of them ever.

Yeah, it’s hanging on surprisingly lol I would have thought it’d drop over the years but who knows. Maybe Sony will remake it one of these days.

I would love to see you trying the Sony 15mm 1.4 APSC lense on the ZVe1 with dynamic steady shot

@AJTrucker Yeah, that'd be dope! Let me add that to the list.

I own that Sony 16 mm! its amazingly dope at its super tiny size. (and if you don't care about using all the pixels on the sensor, it can still fit on full frame, TBH its kinda comical on an FX3, I've totally rocked it as a webcam via a usb c)
@DianaGladney6 ай бұрын
Yeah, it definitely is. I've had a ton of fun using that lens on my ZV-E1 and for all the pixel peepers, no ones has ever asked, mentioned, or guessed it was being used mixed in between anything else lol.

@vvlad78 A cool lens, but I mentioned in the video my thoughts about it.
