I will stick with my Hi Toe 3 wedges. Soft and if you hit them correctly amazing performance. An added plus is durability, when you skull one across the green and throw your wedge at the sky as an offering to the golf Gods, they hold up well upon re-entry and landing.

@@alexreyes1957 oh no, not me, when I throw a club it not only has height it has distance. Sounds like the blades on a helicopter as it flys towards the next tee box! Let that be a lesson and take notes boys and girls. If you gonna throw a club always throw towards the next tee box, don’t waste energy tracking backwards to get a club. Taylormade's got quite the combo oppurtunities. What do you think of a combo set of: 2-3 P790, 4-5 P770, 6-7 P7MC, 8-9 P7MB, wedges MG4. Scratch 125mph driver. Does this sound like a reasonable set-up to you?
@fictionalgaming912 Жыл бұрын
I love MG feels, i truly do, but for the price point I do not like the fact TM does not offer grinds only bounce options. If I am spending 200$ on a wedge (grips I use are 10-15$) I do not want to have to then go pay a shop to grind the sole for the relief I play in my wedges. I like it being right off the shelf and good to go. I wish TM would start doing this because I would buy MG wedges explicitly.

Does the spin tread being at a 45 degree angle make them slightly more biased to a fade spin compared to if they were parallel with the grooves

I assume TM spec'd the MG4 to the 115g shaft to compensate for more head mass behind the ball (heavier head) to keep the SW @ D5? Asking since the MG3 is a 129g spec shaft.

Im still using MG1 52 56 & 60, Im definitely due for an upgrade grooves are pretty worn, but damn almost $200 per wedge is just insane. I'm sure these are great but club prices in general are just ridiculously way too high.
@FF04RDF Жыл бұрын
Surprised TM / Trottie didn’t respond to your comment. It’s like they don’t want to discuss price at all. Funny that.
@craciunator99 Жыл бұрын
@@FF04RDF I mean it hasnt even been an hour, but we all know the prices have become ridiculous. Golf clubs have become like buying cars, new cars are insanely expensive and lose 1/3rd their value as soon as you take them off the lot, or hit the clubs. Unless you have insane money to blow, or are really trying to be cutting edge competitive, no sense in buying new clubs all the time. Back in high school when i played (2006-2010) a brand new cleveland wedge was $60, now theyre triple to $180, inflation doesnt account for that much of a difference. They're pricing amateurs out of the game, and also leaving the door open for lesser known companies like sub 70 or tokomo to come in and offer quality clubs at half the price. Its like these companies dont realize that people wont buy new clubs at these prices and if they lowered the prices just a tad much more people would buy them.

I’ve had my MG4s for 3 weeks now and the Spin numbers in my 50,54,60 are all lower to my MG3s same lofts and Shafts, KBS 610 120. MG4 54 spinning at average 5700rpm and carry average is 128. MG3 54 Spinning average 7800 average and carrying average is 135. Am I missing something here. 😂
