Great video as always. I love my df64, def my daily driver out of my 6 grinders. Only thing is, i feel you downplayed how god damn loud it is lol maybe it’s just how loud it is with ssp mp installed as i never tried the standard burrs but i hate how loud it is lol

Great review. Would you recommend this grinder for pour over and espresso or the ode gen 2 for pour over and the 1zpresso J-max for espresso. Looking to get my first espresso machine.

Although I don't have any experience with the 1zpresso, I would go with this DF64 for both. I'd say the DF64 and Ode and pretty comparable for filter, especially with the upgraded burrs in the DF64!

The Ode Gen 2 is a great filter grinder and can be complimented by another grinder for espresso, but if you'd like one grinder for everything I'd go with the DF64!

Probably best of low end budget grinders. It has to many little issues and built on the cheaper side to be all out best grinder of 2023. I would give the best midrange grinder of 2023 to the Zerno. Best high end would probably be the T100 or the Eg-1.

How does it match up vs the Niche grinder?

Very similar workflows. I prefer the DF64 mostly because I prefer flat over conical burrs. The build quality also feels much better.

Could you share the grinder website from espresso outlet... Another question the V4 comes with the metal dosing cup and the collar? It has by default the grind size indicator? Sorry for all the questions.... In your experience how it can be compared in pour overs to something like the Fellow ODE Tha t you mentioned, for espresso it looks fantastic

The website link is to the Turin site owned by Espresso Outlet, so that's the one! And yes it comes with all of that. For comparison, I would probably say the stock burrs in the DF64 are slightly lower quality than the Ode Gen2 burrs. But if you opt to upgrade, the quality in the DF64 is just as good if not better than the Ode.

Probably the SSP High Uniformity would be your best bet! Or ask Joe if he has a recommendation, should be pretty easy to get in touch and he's very helpful.

Sorry but the static on this grinder is a problem. What an absolute mess. I returned mine and went with a Eureka. Haven't looked back.

With RDT, static isn't a big issue for me, personally (I have the V4 declumper). Have sold my Eureka, haven't looked back.

@@Ghostbear2k even with rdt, static was a nightmare. Glad you like yours but I personally think eurekas build quality is better. Good price on the DF tho

I believe the most important variable is the grinder. As soon as I hear the word "affordable." I'm out.
