I'm so glad you are showing using the coloured shirts. I've just started using them, you can get bored with white. Grey and cream. I found using a design with cooler colours on the grey and warmer on the cream has worked best for me, working with the shirt colour. I also worked out a trick to help with keeping the coloured areas "truer" to my design. I have Photoshop, but any similar software which uses layers would work. I put a solid colour layer, as close as I can get, with the shirt colour underneath the design. In Photoshop I then set the Blend Mode of the layer the design is on to "Multiply". This effectively makes it transparent, like sublimation ink. I then add any colour/saturation layers I want to alter the design to make it look more like it was originally. The important thing is to make sure these apply only to the design layer, not the solid shirt colour layer underneath. I always print from Photoshop anyway, so this wasn't a biggy for me. And now I've got my "recipe" for the coloured shirts I use, it's a cinch. I also noticed you are using the HTVRont Manual Press Angie. I got mine a couple of weeks ago, it finally came out in the UK. Your review of it last year was the thing that confirmed this was what I wanted to upgrade from my Cricut EasyPress. And I love it! So thank you so much for that, and for this video showing all the non-white options. Good point about the bleached shirts and the panel placement! I will look out for that, it had never occurred to me.

Oh nice! I don't use Photoshop a ton in these videos as I know not many people have it!

Thank you so much for explaining how important the polyester content % is and why. I’ve watched so many videos on sublimation but not one compared the color shirts or content changes. You are a great teacher.

Hi Angie, is there anyway you can do the DTF hack on the brother SP-1?
@AngieHolden2 ай бұрын
I actually do not recommend the DTF hack with a sublimation printer for safety reasons.

Thank you for the video. I have recently purchased the heat press that you are using. Unfortunately, not before your review of it. I was under the impression that T-shirts require heavy pressure. You mentioned this is an area where the heat press underperforms. Do you have any suggestions for achieving heavier pressure? If I put a heat-protected slab on the bottom platen, would that increase the pressure?
@AngieHolden3 ай бұрын
I think you could stack a few firm mats and increase the pressure!

Hi Angie. Where did you get that svg design for these shirts? The one with the books and the flowers sticking out of them.

Unfortunately the amazon bleached shirts you listed are not polyester
@AngieHolden3 ай бұрын
The one I received does not feel like cotton AT ALL and worked fine. I think maybe the listing is incorrect but it is the one I purchased.
