My vote is simple, just at least use the Quadcopter or UFO as leader drones/bosses. I'd pick those two but frankly, you'll need some of the lighter drones as cannon fodder anyway so pick one of the big bois and maybe a couple light designs to flood the skies with a diverse range of enemies.

The thing with combat drones is that most of them do not rely on their individual strength but their huge overwhelming power in numbers. Almost like robotic insects. You do not want them to be expensive and hi-tech, but cheap and easy to mass produce.

In terms of competitiveness though, you can field a larger number of the smaller ones without overwhelming them, while they still feel like it's a massive attack. Like MrMatturbo says above, one of the big ones like the Quadcopter or the UFO surrounded by a swarm of the small ones would be extremely cinematic.

Or maybe UFO instead of being boss could work as decoy. If you put one or two alone in the sky they'll be easy to spot and kill, but whole bunch of the green ones will sneak up close to ground.

YES actually was gonna vote this myself, he needed some more heavily armed drones and those two certainly fit that description. Maybe have a heap of smaller drones, then two quad copters supporting the UFO as kinda like the Drone control ship :D

Aaron, since the cameras are purely for aesthetic purposes I can go and post a version where all but perhaps 3 on the front are disabled if you'd like. That way you can easily access the right ones. My favorites are the Doorbuster and the Patrol Drone!

Actually, that’s a pretty good strategy. Have the heavily armored and seemingly more dangerous drone be the bullet spounge and have the truly deadly Vipers do the damage without taking too much.

id say use the Doorbusster Atmospheric Attack Drone (D.A.A.D) or the Quadcopter and the Fearless Combatant and then use the UFO as a sort of command drone so like a boss where it is like a mobile command center that captain jack and the crew need to hunt down in order to stop it transmitting some kind of signal that is constantly calling in reinforcements or calling in orbital strikes on their position

I really like the first one, it's an upgrade to the existing gatling one and doesn't go overboard. It has a very nice aesthetic. For my personal second choice, I'd probably go with the quad, it's meaty enough to take shots but doesn't have tons of guns on it. They sustained enough physical damage during the last battle for a huge leap in power to not be too justified. RIP miner you will be missed.

Which ever two you end up picking you MUST launch a UFO attack on the base. Maybe make it an "alien" faction they sometimes have to contend with along side the raiders.

I’d say Viper as Standard Assault Drone, Quadcopter as heavy reinforcements, and maybe you could modify the UFO Mega Drone to be a vertical hover bomber, with Gatling turrets on the top disk, as a mini-boss or something.

The GSS4242 - Patrol Drone, as a group of smaller more fragile escort scouts, with the heavy armor of the Quadcopter Attack Drone Mk.1 being of the tougher longer lasting enemy drone to take down.

We don't want you to completelly anihilate them, but we want more or less realistic approach to battle. First off: don't use machines with obvious weaknesses, use something normal but realistically limited(either limit the amount of drones deployed per attack, or limit their killing capability, they need to be able to survive though, so they should be able to not have clear weakspots, to take a hit, or they should be able to be extremelly unpredictable and quick, effectivelly dodging the heavy guns), secondly: create a battle plan and carry it out no matter if one of the steps fails(so that they would have much bigger chance of success in another battle) for example: 1. destroy all or majority of their airfleet, limiting them to 2D warfare 2. disable all or majority of their vehicles, either by air or ground based attack 3. destroy their base defences with artillery 4. breach in with ground based drones(it would be interesting to see CJ trying to defend from drones in dark of their underground hangars and tunnels) That way, there will be a sense of real threat for both CJ and watchers of his series.

I'd suggest the UFO and V.A.A.D. (Viper Automated Assault Drone). Possibly introducing them during an assault on the base with multiple V.A.A.D.s escorting the UFO, under the pseudonyms "X23" and "X15" respectively so that you can introduce other drones in the future, perhaps improvements on existing designs, and give the idea that "somewhere, something is making these and attacking us." thereby giving them an option between just escaping the planet and running the risk of being chased by the drones, or tracking down the source and destroying it... ... too much?

In my opinion, we need an upgrade more in the defensive than the offensive, as the drones are having a difficult time even reaching the target. As such, the added armor of either the UFO or the QuadCopter would work perfectly for lasting a little longer!

I think you should also start a base of sorts of yourself and do a survival mechanic. Having the drones actually need to be manufactured in factories or such means you could send massive amounts of drones at them but you'd run out. As well they could limit the drone count by destroying the factories. You could even just give yourself a limit of drones per factories. I would love to see however you collecting resources to in game build like a massive drone or satellite to cause damage on Jack's team. Having some drones starting stripping resources off things do build like a giant orbital, like big Bertha cannon in orbit which you could use to strike captain Jack's bases or convoys would be cool. But that would also be really OP so that why I think you should do it within the games mechanics, aka building it in survival mode. The most frustrating thing about playing god mode is knowing your limits, so being able to throw EVERYTHING you have at an enemy would be cool. It would give a big challenge but you'd be out of drones for a while and they'd be able to do more things without getting harassed by drones. If you want my opinion I'd say it'd be better if you started taking more of the god element out of your powers and just a really advanced base and powers. I'd personally love to see Captain Jack stop collecting resources and such and go on a military campaign to raze a drone factory to the ground. I'd also love to see you get to a point where you could fairly within all you guy's enjoyment perhaps just nuke captain Jack's base and make them rebuild. You obviously can't do that now because it would be OP but if there was a long string of event like you collecting resources or scavenging and or making factories, or say building parts for a massive orbital cannon it would be cool to watch that play out. Turn it into almost some adventure game campaign.

I really like the Viper as the standard light attack drone that come in a big group and the doorbuster as a slight variation since it has a rocket launcher, to come in a little bit smaller group. The UFO is very good as a boss enemy that comes alone.

I liked the Viper Automated Attack Drone MKI and the LSG UFO Mega Drone, the Viper Automated Attack Drone I think would be quite practical for barrage attacks(excluding the funky rotor physics) I say this mainly because in between the two I like, it would be the hardest to hit. the LSG UFO is aesthetically awesome (maybe for a bit of psychological warfare) and functional a bit big and easily spotted but in my opinion that's the point.

The "Fearless combatant" is very reminiscent of the "Stinging Adversary" Space Pirate Drone but in my opinion The UFO Should definitely be used.

The quad cooter and the door buster. Quad cooter would soak up a ton of fire as if left alone they’d make it to the base and if they make it to the base intact they’ll be a pain to kill by then. So they are best killed quickly. But that means the door busters can get in range and possibly let the rocket turret do some work. Plus door buster looks very easy to kill.

The viper and the quad. Both are not to dangerous bit also fill out some missing slots in your drone fleet. Supplement them with your standard drones and your good. A quad backed by 3 viper back by 9 standard drones. A nice logical attack force that you can play up as evolving and learning from Jack.

I'm gonna say I like the first drone and the heavy armored quad copter. The first one purely for looks, the quad copter purely for the heavy armor, because the previous drones just didn't live long enough to even get properly in range. I also liked the looks of the UFO. Maybe at some point you can have a dropship that drops the drones from straight above them? Because who ever looks straight up anyway?

My favorite are the Quadcopter and Patrol Drone. Quad because it is a heavily armoured drone that should survive very well. Patrol drone because it's a very thin profile. It should be hard for the Players to hit even up close.

Make a drone variation of The Ship that you stole from Jack some time ago. It would give some reason for Jack to bolster his defenses due to fear of losing ship designs to the drones (he will wake up in a cold sweat imagining Wyvern drones).
