Glad to see the Tierlist back! Definitely learned one or two new comps as well. I recently had some success with 6 orcs 4 shaman, but it's only for very specific games, as you need 3 specific legendaries to fully work. And also the right relics to get a lot of gold early, while loosing some life and hitting the legendaries later. Kinda curious if anybody else played it or saw someone play it.

the problem with 6 orc is that you could be running legendary units or better synergies instead like 4 tauren 4 god etc. BUT if you have disruptor bloodseeker and arc warden you could go 6 orc 6 shaman and thats an absolute beast of a comp but super hard to hit

Great video Grack. Question: are Trolls even somewhat viable? I feel like apart from maybe some rare luna3 + 4 Troll + Dwarf-Midgame-Build I don't see them anywhere.

trolls are sadly pretty underwhelming right now :( the other options just outshine them completely like 6beast, and i used to be a big fan of 6 troll too!!

For theory purpose, if a comp has 6 mage and 4 demonhunter buff. The damage output of mages will gain amplified bonus of 6 mages and then become pure damage (4 demon hunter)? Or the damage output of mages will be considered pure damage and not gain the benefit of 6 mages at all (since it only amplifies magical damage)? Also if it works like the former scenario then is it viable?

no doesnt work like that, mage reduces their magic resistance which does nothing good for your true damage, only discovered that recently too xd

The problem is that necessarily if you want to reach lv 10 you depend a lot on humans and if you want to secure a top 3 the laser relic secures everything, but without that relic it's complicated sometimes.

oh you pretty much NEED 3 humans and a high econ value relic to hit lvl 10, but im not factoring difficulty of hitting units into tierlist since it makes it extremely muddled and confusing for newer players. e.g. 6 shamans would be like B tier since its impossible to hit but its raw strength is so high that it'd beat everything placed above it and when looking at the tierlist from first glance you'd go "wtf how would 6 shaman lose to hunters"

ooft the general guideline is dismiss whatever $ cost unit youre most likely to roll. e.g at level 4 dismiss 1 costs like gods, level 5 dismiss 2 costs like knights and level6-7 dismiss 3 costs like aqir etc etc

The main problem with 4 Undead 3 Hunters is that you don't really have a good relic nor a honey spot level/price worthy ban to do all these rerolls. Maybe you can shrink ray at round 10 ban trolls and find 3 hunters with lvl3 Wyvern and abaddon. But it's pretty much suicide if you pick family discount or vault at round20, change the ban to aqirs and get your lvl3 pudge. If you have great vault at round 10, you have to ban elements and reroll for all of them at lvl5. It's just hard and unreliable.

As for lvl2 9 Hunters. You gotta give it to them that it is such a direct counter to Meepo 3 mages/elfs/goblins/faceless/assassins/Orge Alch/9 Warriors. But it's got pretty much no use against any late game compositions unless you got some really good items. The burst damge of 2 star 9 hunters is actually less than 4 beast 6 hunters/ 4 Undead 6 hunters.

WIth the new item Witless Shako, I think 4 priests deserve a higher ranking. If you get to family discount your Undying to 3 stars and put a Witless Shako on him, boom you control the enemy team's core 2 star legendary or some lucky guy's 3star Kotl or Medussa. This would totally demonlish your late game enemy. If your biggest foe gets no 2 star legendary or 3star 4-Cost-Pieces, just put the Witless Shako on your 3star Dazzle or 2star Chen. It would work out just find.

Another thing that benefits from the Witless Shako is the TB Aqir. I'd say it's more powerful than the traditional 6 elfs. With the Witless Shako on your TB3, you get two 3star aqirs for free once those TB pieces die. You only need to reroll for all 4 Druids and TB, maybe some times include a 3star antimage if you got some lucky rolls. But generally it's much easier and cheaper to put together than 6elfs. You reroll at lvl6, put in 3 elfs + TB + 2 aqir, then you level up to lvl7 and get 2 beast. Later at lvl9 you put in 4 beasts.

9 warriors is a patch trap right now. All 2star 9 warriors could lose to Assassins, Meepos and even 6mages if you don't get 2star trollwarlord and primal beast at the same time. The only wins I see with 9 warriors are the ones with not only lvl10 but also 3star pudge/slardar/Kunkka/Doom, etcs. At that point with that many golds I'd say they could also easily win playing other comps.

@@billchenbt yeah like i mentioned in tierlist not factoring in how hard it is to find units, makes tierlist confusing af and i mentioned it is very expensive! 9 hunters imo does fine against late game comps. the problem with your 4priest reasoning is that you NEED a witless shako for it to work the way you describe it, i don't think thats a reliable enough factor to place 4 priest higher. TB aqir with the item also sounds interesting but again, i want the tierlist nice and simple for everyone to understand and adding item requirements to niche comps like tb aqir isnt straight forward and very hard to roll and put together units and itemwise. 9 warriors i barely see myself but with 2 naga and its legendary warriors it will beat assassins and meepos and 6mage easily, again we aren't factoring difficulty to find units into this tier list.

i think assassins work better as a counter comp as opposed to something you slap on and beat every other comp with. I can see it working against things like hunters and mages but it gets demolished by most A+ and S rank comps
