The Best Composting Toilet for Off Grid Living 2024

Hello everyone, on todays episode, I'll be installing my Sun-Mar NE (non electric) Composting toilet. It seems pretty straightforward, and with no experience, I installed it in just a few short hours.

To cut the wood I used a jigsaw.
To cut the hole in the roof I used a 4 inch hole saw attached to a power drill.
To drill the hole for the drainage tube, i used a 2 inch hole saw.

Just make sure to set up the fan too. It really makes difference and uses almost no energy. Not only eliminates the smell but in my opinion speeds up the composting process. Thanks for your comment.

I am going to try mine with just the fan and not the heat pad as it sucks to much power. I will urnate in a jug and just #2 in toilet...hopefully it will work. There is just me in my cabin.​@southwestoffgrid ​@@southwestoffgrid
