Jordan Spence is not japanese. He is Canadian. Alexander Georgiev is not Bulgarian. He is Russian. Arthur Kaliyev is not Uzbek. He is American. Players birth place is often not the same as nationality. Players can be born anywhere, but it is their citizenship and country they represent which matters.
@CanadianRamen4 ай бұрын
Yes, Jordan Spence is in fact Japanese. He was born to a Canadian father and Japanese mother, he lived in Osaka. He has dual citizenship, Canadian/Japanese. That makes him both Japanese nationally and culturally. Same thing with Alexander Georgiev. He was born in Bulgaria to Bulgarian parents but moved to Russia shortly after he was born but he still holds dual citizenship, Russian and Bulgarian. You are correct regarding Arthurt Kaliyev, he's as far as I am aware, an American and only an American Citizen. @@LionsFever oh I agree it is the most important. It’s also the most inconsistent. Igor was basically the headlines of 2022 and until this playoffs you almost never heard his name since. How many games did Hill even play this year after his dominant playoff performance last year? Ullmark was the best goalie in the league a year ago and now he’s a 1B on his own team. Bobrovsky was a noted playoff ghost until last year and has had mediocre seasons the majority of his career with the panthers. The narrative on a goalie changes fast
