The BEST Day Ever At Discovery Cove Orlando! | Seaventure, Dolphins & Everything You Need To Know!

In today’s vlog we head to Discovery Cove Orlando for a day of fun, relaxation and adventure! A huge thank you to Discovery Cove for having us out and hosting us for the day! Discovery Cove is an all inclusive resort so it makes planning your day so much easier, we love that! We started the day with breakfast (all food and snacks and most drinks are included with admission) then we headed to the cabana and got ready for our Dolphin Experience. It was fantastic, things changed since our last visit and it was much more interactive this time! We got to meet Yoko and she was so amazing! We learned so much about her and how the animal care experts care for all of the animals at Discovery Cove. Then we had some snacks and swami in the freshwater reef with Jackson, he loved it! Next it was time for our Seaventure! We’ve done this once before and it was an incredible experience, we were so happy to be able to do it again. We got to see the rays and fish and even met some other sea friends up close! It’s one of the coolest things you can do in Orlando in our opinion! We had lunch after and swam in the Grand Reef, Jackson was so brave! We also went into the Explorer’s Aviary and fed the birds. We ended the day with a beautiful fruit plate and talked about our day. I went to discovery cove like 17 years ago, and Capricorn was the Dolphin I swam with and got pictures and a kiss from. It's so cool hearing that hes still there now!

Been there once in 2007 as a kid , one time in 2014 as a teenager and now hope to visit it one more time as an adult. It is one, if not the best, experiences of my life. Swimming with these stingrays in a safe way, seeing so many beautiful things underwater, it's amazing for someone who hasn't been diving. One of the best things about Discovery Cove is they only let so many people inside during the day so the water never feels crowded and sometimes you feel like you're only in there alone. You can sometime see a leg or two but that's basically it. The stingrays are so kind and sometimes you see people swimming away from the big ones, but they are so gentle and they actually like to be pet from my experience. Some stingrays come to you and even nibble at your feet, it was really sweet.

I'm so grateful that you mentioned the accessibility aspect. Interacting with a dolphin is a dream of mine. The only time I went to Discovery Cove, I could barely reach the dolphin over the wall and juuuuuust barely touched it with my fingertips. That's all I could do. Also, me too on the marine bio. I just had to change my major, though. I can't math well AT ALL.

I went on a 10 day trip to Orlando with a disability charity when I was younger and swam with a dolphin at discovery cove. Still the best thing I’ve done 💓 So if you want to do something like that but worried about mobility issues, you should be okay!

Love to see how brave Jackson is with these adventures! In St. Thomas on vacation one year my sister and I fed the birds and I had one that got angry because it couldn't get the scrunchie out of my hair. My sister finally got it off my head only for it to come back and try again. I just couldn't help but laugh at the poor frustrated thing.

I wanted to be a marine biologist throughout high school too! But I decided to become a small animal veterinarian instead. Still scratched that itch of working with animals, but very different animals 🐶🐈

Glad you got to swim with the Stingrays. They're such amazing creatures. and people freak out about them unnnessary. . do you know they live in groups of bonded families and are exceptional good parents. So funny seeing the zebra shark and the nurse sharks just chilling out watching you. proof that not all sharks are like the great whites like that in JAWS. I'm so glad to hear Capricorn is still around. at 50 that's a amazing age for a dolphin. Thanks for another great video.

Hi Tim and Jenn! My parents took me to Seaworld a lot as a kid and was fortunate to also do their summer camps. Those visits instilled a love of marine life just like it did for you. I swam with dolphins here at the age of 7 in 2010 and since then, especially meeting great team members in DC allowing me to feed giant rays and holding other animals it inspired me to do it for a career. I have always wanted to do Discovery Cove, especially the dolphins - would HAVE to do that too - maybe someday! Don't think I could afford all that, AND a cabana, but so nice yours is right next to the dolphin area - that's DEFINITELY the area I'd like to be in, if I could!! Thank you for mentioning the dolphin encounter is accessibility-friendly. As someone with mobility issues, that's VERY good to hear, and not mentioned a lot of times. Good tip about the sunscreen being thick/needing to be reapplied often. Churrasco steak - OK - now you've made my VERY hungry, and drooly! LOL I remember your SeaVEnture vlog from years ago - loved it then, loved it now - so cool-looking! :) Always love to see how much of a water baby Jackson is, and how happy and natural he is. Wow - how interesting those were Etch-a-Sketches, didn't know they'd work underwater either - man - I used to LOVE mine when I was little, but I'm sure they're WAY different, and WAY improved i nth last 50+ years since then, I'm old! I just got home from Orlando a few days ago. I really wanted to go to discovery cove. I did not go though. I spent 4 days at Disney world and three at Universal. Had a great time. As usual I did not see Tim and Jen. I did see Mollie one day. Made my day! I'm from Arizona. So it is a long way to Florida, but I'm sure I will make the trip again. Enjoy watching your vlogs. Thank you so much. My family spent Christmas at Fort Wilderness in a 38' RV. We had a nice vacation. It was on my Bucket list.

I swam with Astra and Neo many years ago, the sunscreen provided was dolphin and reef friendly! The aviary was a highlight for me too and the amount of fish in lagoon just amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Jackson is a natural in the water and is a natural with animals as well! He's so relaxed in nature. What an amazing place. Definitely want to go here one day. I'm worried I might get a little claustrophobic with that helmet on, so I'll have to see about going actually under the water, but the other parts look great. I just need to learn how to swim. The animals were amazing. Thank you for sharing so we could get an up-close look. That black and kind of polka dot ray was very stylish in design.

Discovery Cove is the best value in Orlando by far. I went in early May and paid $149 on black Friday and that included 14 days at Busch gardens, Aquatica and Seaworld with free parking. All I did was floated in the river and loved my day. It was my 4th time so I knew what I was missing with the rest of the park which is great. So many people miss this experience.
