The Best Decision We Ever Made for our Vegetable Garden | Gardening with Chickens

This is by far the best decision we ever made for our vegetable garden! We've been gardening with chickens. We got this idea from an old man down the road that uses his chickens to do all the work in his garden. He rotates his chickens throughout the garden and orchard at different times of the year and they take care of all the weeding, clean up, and tilling. They even fertilize the soil. Vegetable gardens and chickens are a match made in heaven.

You will find that Chickens are the hardest working at clearing all the nasty bugs slugs and snails off your plot that you can employ, they will also clear every weed that pops up in the plot, as well as fertilising and turning over the ground as they go, plus they lay eggs! I let my chickens & ducks loose in the yard (so far no complaints from neighbors) for part of the day & I noticed they had removed all the weeds from my shrubbery! Saved me a lot of work.
