After the nerf to Sable, Hydra bob is in like all of the decks I want to play here and it's not been in spotlights since and isn't looking to put him in. I get why they wanted to nerf sable since she was a very good 1 drop, but I basically don't feel like I have a replaceable 1 drop anymore, and I have every 1 drop in the game except Bob. Guess I'm playing Ant-Man or Nico...

I agree, I think it was great that sable was a generically good 1 drop but now she's more of an afflict bounce card only. I think nebula is the best generic 1 drop hydra bob replacement

@ in a Maleketh build I use Ant-Man as a power replacement most of the time. Otherwise Nico & Iceman/Spider Ham as disruption has served me better than Neb

@@6ftmouse349 That is a very funny joke. I have tried this before, and while Maleketh makes her seem appealing, anytime you draw and play Martyr it is miserable. Titania is a better 1/5 if you need the statline, which you shouldn’t, just play actually efficient 1’s like sable, antman, nico, or anything disruptive.

I just beat a variation of that move bounce deck in conquest, it's really strong. It made me agree with the silver sable nerf. Deck puts out serious and now very even power across all locations.

After I started playing a "Miracle" Wiccan deck that I saw, with affliction, tech cards, and either Malekith or Anti-Venom (no Ajax), I climbed easily enough on ladder. Match-ups with Alioth/Cosmo or Bounce can eat it up, though.

Also I just wanna add that I think due to all the arishem gamers plaguing the ladder that we should take out black cat from Ajax decks and replace with Casandra Nova. It's also great against Thanos with their bigger deck. I just hit infinite with this brew: silver sable, hydra bob, hazmat, scorpion, USagent, valentina, cassandra nova, luke, red guardian, malekith, anti-venom and Ajax.

rogue 2 cost feels like too easy counterplay to ongoing cards as a whole without actually targeting the problem card. id get giving rogue more power, but 2 cost just wouldn’t work i reckon

14:47 I'm not really convinced Gwenpool is better than Surtr for this deck. The problem with Gwenpool here is that we have now introduced the rather common possibility of Gwenpool's buffs falling into Shadow King. She's not playing "for all that she can get" as often as you think if you are also running Shadow King as a tech card, which you kinda have to considering how much this deck wants to drop prio and swing hard with cost-efficient cards on turn 6. Another issue is that we've also introduced the possibility of having both Moon Girl and Gwenpool in hand which leads to extremelly clunky hand states. If you Moon Girl on turn 4 you are kinda forced to play a Gwenpool on 5 which is an anti-synergy play for Sunspot and She-Hulk, and if you Moon Girl on turn 5 both Gwenpools are effectively bricked in your hand. Meanwhile duplicating Surtr, while not the strongest thing the deck can do, still leads to very playable turn 6 hands. I've also seen the argument in this comment section that Gwenpool allows for better "hidden intel" because your opponent cannot play around her power allocation, I find this to be an extremelly weak argument because the way the deck functions already generates a lot of "hidden intel". You are playing Moon Girl + activating Black Swan on 5, the opponent literally cannot have any clue as to how much power you can actually put on the board or where the hell you are going to distribute it. Basically, you claim she brings more consistency to the deck, and I personally would argue the opposite. That being said, neither Gwenpool nor Surtr in particular are really what's actually carrying the deck, so I can see it performing really well regardless of which one you choose. It's more of a petty "IMO this is slightly more optimal" argument.

Negasonic never worked out for me. Either i don't have priority to destroy some big card at last round, or i do have priority and they play something where the card does not matter as much and the effect it plays still went off (since she only destroys after the card is played and does not prevent the on reveal play itself)

@@loner007 scream is going to be your main scaler for power. But generally all the cards have good stats like spiderman, miles, stegron, and bob to put good points on the board, while negasonic, juggernaut, and shang prevent your opponent from winning lanes at the end.

played a ton of moongirl dump at infinite. don't use wasp and kitty in the moon girl deck. wasp is too weak, kitty is clogging your hand making moon girl turns often awkward. i do like gwen instead of surtur tho, i will try that for sure.
