What’s worked best for me is cover 1 press out of the nickel formation. I have dBs guard by speed. And I have secondary play underneath. Use the sublb and either blitz or follow the RB

The one thing i dont like about this defense is the outside corner is in a blue zone, and you cant put him in a purple. For zone drop purposes. Calling cover 3 seam works better for me.

I watch these type videos and it all looks good and everybody shows how to stop all the different meta routes all I cud think about the whole video is wat do u do when somebody just decides to run the ball every play cuz me personally u can sit there n make all those adjustments but if I’m gettin 3 yards a carry I’ll just run the ball every play

Not pass committing and manning up a linebacker on the running back is your only hope.

Instead of running dollar you just switch to add an extra safety (Nickel) or got a more base defense formation of 3-4 4-3

this is a average defense the best defense to run in regs is cover 2 but change your package to Big nickel and instead of having the safetys on deep halves you can put them on outside thirds which will allow you to play your flats more aggressive you can put them on 10 yard flats or even 5 yard flats depends on how good your safetys are

Football is a game of adjustments. You can easily stop the dump downs using some of the adjustments Ive shown here. You can bait with your user defender as well. But the reality is, most players do not want to dump down and they will force passes. And if I am getting you to dump down every play, I much rather that than giving up big plays, because all I have to do is get you to make one mistake and it's a turnover. The more you have to work to move down the field, the better.
