This was a well thought out hire Marc. The Ryan Family are NFL coaching royalty. This is a fantastic hire for USC. It does not get any better than this.

USC clearly has the best coaching staff in college football. All they need now is to take care of the clock management issues. Can Tesla's Optimus robot help with that?

This is a great hire, I wish it could have happened sooner. I think we missed out on a couple kids that might have signed here instead of just taking the bags. Perhaps we still can? When it comes to transfers the rules seem “fluid”. ✌🏻

Will Coach Ryan bring in an influence of the 46 defense . Attack attack and press defense. Good show
@chimi_chongo11 күн бұрын
It’s still the DAnton Lynn’s defense. Rob has already coached with Lynn. So I wouldn’t expect too big of changes besides hopefully when we rush four we get to the quarterback. But the Ryan family definitely had an influence on Lynn growing up in the coaching ranks, so I’m sure they already think very similarly.

Marc do you think it’s a coaching gap between the offense of staff compared to the defensive staff? And if so do you think Riley need to make these same type moves on the offense staff like he has done with the defense staff?

I’m hoping Eric Gentry can cook under Ryan. Keep him engaged and motivated, He can definitely be a B1G first teamer, at minimum 2nd team. Getting a better push from the front, will help his game. ✌🏾

Best coaching staff don't mean much without 5⭐️recruits like Ohio state and Georgia who dominate with their O and Dline recruits. They'll make a nice coaching photo though

This hire is a perfect example of why the handwringing of "why haven't they announced an LB coach yet" was so overblown. Sometimes, splash hires take a while. And considering absolutely no one saw this coming lends credence to LR's commitment to getting the defense right. Now, LFG and FightOn!!

Don't get me wrong. I think the idea of hiring USC alumni, or staff that have USC alumni ties is great and all. Because it is a great story to say that (example Urban Meyer) born in Toledo Ohio, went to school in Ohio, graduated from an Ohio college (Cincinnati), and ended his "coaching" career as an Ohio St Buckeye (where he is technically still a staff member). That is great and way to end your legacy. Coach Lincoln Riley will never have that level of commitment to Southern California like Urban probably did for Ohio. So if we (USC) aren't going to hire the best alumni possible, I would love that we hire the best in general. Also IDK how committed USC is but I would love to see the treasure and donors take their money and invest heavily into USC overall. I want to be able to Google best athletic department in College, and NOT see Oregon, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio St, and Tennessee. I would know the Coliseum just had a renovation, and is going to host the Olympics in 2028. But USC is now apart of the B1G and what does the B1G have that is pretty much unique to them. Giant Stadiums... The Big House (Michigan): 109K Beaver Stadium (PSU): 106K The Horse Shoe (OSU): 102K The Rose Bowl (UCLA): 89K Nebraska: 85K The Coliseum (USC): 77K When you think of the Coliseum, you think of Rome that largest stadiums built for its age. When I see the arches, and that glories torch at USC which is beautiful, it said that behind it is only 77K. I'm not saying build a new stadium. But I would love for that stadium to fill 95K, but sadly it is L.A. and L.A. has some many things to do it's hard to justify going to game unless you student/a fan/ or a visiting team
