The man said "Why can't we bring this music back". It's because today's generation wouldn't know how to start. This music is also called Street Corner Harmony. If you were to take away the music, it would still sound great. No auto tune needed, just great harmony.

Not only that, it's all about money now. Even back then, groups had a hard time staying together because of money and to think it would work in today's money hungry environment. I truly believe if that music was the genre of today, there would be less violence in the world. No, doo wop will never come back 😢

Yes they would bro. The talent is there...it's just not promoted by the labels. You go where the money is. This stuff went out of style before I was even born, but it still has its charm. Here's some British guys called the Roomates (one m) who are still going now. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3eboZhteNqJqpY Enjoy ... the entire album is worth a listen. After you give it a listen, remember, I did you a solid The one down side of the Beatles is that they earmarked the doo wop style for death😢

they were a 60's group but this song was actually released in 1982! kind of a doo wop revival

They actually started in the late 50's, I believe their biggest hit "There's A Moon Out Tonight" was released in '58. Their lead singer Nick "Santo" Santamaria wrote most of the music. "Morse Code Of Love" he started penning in '59, I believe, however, he didn't finish it. There happened to be an oldies revival in late '60's early '70's. They then reunited & started performing again. Nick decided to complete Morse Code Of Love which was 1982. If only he had done so back in '58/'59, it would have followed their biggest hit. They actually would have been HUGE with those two back to back.

Great song. Even though it sounds like a 1950's or 1960's Doo-Wop song, The Capri's actually recorded and released this song in 1982. The Capri's were a doo-wop group and had a song released called There's a Moon Out Tonight which they recorded in 1958 but it was in 1960 when the song took off. This is actually one of my favorite Doo-Wop songs and i'm a big fan of doo-wop. If you interested in doo-wop music check out the radio show called Cool Bobby B's Doo-Wop Stop.

You would also like the famous do-wop song, "Remember Then" by the Earls. Great falsetto vocals! Similar style to the Skyliners, who you have reacted to; also the Cascades, "Rhythm of the Falling Rain", an early 60's love song.

Hi Shawn and Mel. I love when you react to the music I enjoyed when I was young. If you like the Doo Wops try "Count Every Star" by the Rivieras. It is an underrated Doo Wop that has everything a good doo wop should have; parts singing, harmonies, a great bass singer and a great ending. I'm sure that you will like it. Thanks

This song was actually written/recorded by The Capris in 1982 during a 50's culture resurgence. It's legitimate "do-wop" and The Capris are a true 50's group; they simply applied the 50's formula to a song that happened to occur in the 1980's.
