You want another like this? "Over The Mountain" Johnny & Joe kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYW9enVsp7iigMU a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l song live version! And for something bouncy to dance to "Church Bells May Ring" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXmmeoGrfNJ1msk. There was no auto-tune, no messing around to make singers sound good. Those sining artists HAD to have talent. I grew up w-all of these & it's just too bad young people don't know the joy & fun these songs had.

Originally called The Mellotones, they were a quintet formed in 1956 in Mount Vernon, New York . A wonderful American doo-wop group, this song resignates the beautiful tones of the era, the harmonies and the orchestral backing. I'm with you, Harri. From the first note of the song I can feel the emotions in my chest that this era brings forth. Such a time of musical perfection. ❤ Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Romelo. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

They formed their group the year I was born. My older siblings had this music playing as I was growing up. It is part of my precious memories.

So glad I was born in time to be old enough to enjoy and appreciate 50's music, esp. doo-wop and all the Sun Records boys.

Hi again Harri! I was just listening to one of my online radio stations, which are community and college radio stations. They have some amazing shows of little heard music, as they bring in their own 45s, full albums, etc. so this is pretty rare stuff. A lot of these shows have ORIGINAL rock and roll, blues, rhythm and blues, and the real foundations to our current music, and PRE appropriation. I think you'd get a kick out of it while puttering around the house or hanging with the family. And one of the good things is that they list a playlist so you can find it, and one of the stations archives the shows for some amount of time to be played fully. Anyway, I highly recommend a couple shows from WOMR of Provincetown, Massachusetts and WUSB from Stonybrook, Long Island, NY. If you're interested, I'll link them somehow with the specific shows. Just since you were talking about how much you were enjoying the doo wop, I thought I'd tell you about this. Take care!

I would love to see you react to current a cappella group Home Free cover of Keith Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” in a R&B doo wop style. It’s so smooth. Home Free’s bassist Tim Foust even has a whole solo album of doo wop songs.

Romelo - Yes! Bring on more doo-wop. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I have a few coming in the pipeline. Harri, your review was superb as well.

Somehow I thought this was going to be the Tonight Tonight of the Smashing Pumpkins. Amazing song, amazing video, but should not be heard for the first time with the video because it is DISTRACTING! But very happy to hear The Mello Kings and some gorgeous doo wop!

Holy cow! I remember a lot of old songs but I haven't heard this one since I was a little kid! Probably heard at summer camp at the counselors' dance. 😊
