be aware that on a lhd car the 8mm thick rack spacer will destroy a inner gasket of the rack at full lock. cost me 2 racks i run now 4mm spacer without trouble but ofc lot less lock

If you use a70 thread locker the bolt will snap before it brakes I use it in work all the time it's a green colour

Yes, if the boots are good they wouldn't be able to tell, however if they were undeclared on your insurance and you crashed and they were discovered it would invalidate your insurance and that could be a can of worms, but the chances of finding them are so fucking small! maybe if someone made a video installing them on a road legal but mod undeclared vehicle who then crashed Into a subscriber who also works for the same insurance company, or if the rod snapped on the road at that point and someone died it might be found during investigation, if insurance is proven invalid and someone dies it's manslaughter, so yea your right to be weirded out by it, but the chances of discovery are very slim and all after the fact, an MOT tester wouldn't/couldn't fail it! declare all mods for road use guys it's not just you out there, play fair.....

£10-£15 for a small spacer seems quite expensive when you could have gone screwfix or b&q and bought them for a couple of quid! I would do it the cheapest way possible lol

It's not ten pounds if you tell your insurance it's about a extra 200 and if you crashed your insurance would be invalid as you have cut the springs making it un road worthy didn't stop me doing for about ten years tho lol
