No no......the 80s drummers hit way HARDER!! Again,,,,the hard hitters came with Bonham but you could say the 60s but the really hard hitters came in the 80s. The big kits the flashy kits, the cages of cymbals, the air brushing kits. All those hitters came in the 80s. Today's drummrrs are weak and nothing to what the 80s did to drumming. I'm sticking with this.....

Beyond amazing intro. And his rendition is superb. Funny story and I know I will get backlash or love for it but here it goes. 2007…. We Interviewed Josh for Much Music in Halifax, Canada. In a hotel conference room. Me (Camera), the Host and Josh. During the interview he says .. “PHUVK I need a smoke” …. Puts a cigarette in his mouth but has no flame. So he asks “anyone got flame?” So I pull out my zippo while recording, stick my flame out. After a deep drag he says “thank you mister zip-bro” lol After interview we photo op. He says … you guys going to the show? We reply “nah no tickets” He reaches in his pea coat (tall dude btw) and pulled out 2 VIP tickets. 🤯 .. the host’s mind was blown bc it was his fav band but didn’t wanna ask and the venue was sold out as it was. But boy of boy was Paul over the moon. Now I didn’t get to QOTSA’s material by that time and so I was so grateful to see them and it was a banger of a show. The song in question was indeed one of the highlights that drive the crowd insane … in a good way. Point of my rant above … I still have not listened to any QOTSA albums. lol I know right. Like what a moron. However … I do love a lot of their tunes. Like a lot. Just never got around to really diggin in to their catalogue. Maybe bc I’m still a TOOL head and you all know what we are like. lol 😂 Anyway … I think after watching the horse 🐴 head drummer on IG and his band do this intro in the bathroom on IG…. And now this upload of perfection here … I am gonna download every QOTSA album and start my journey tomorrow!!! 🙌 … haha 😆 bout time. I’m 48. Never too late. Thanks for reading my rant 🤘

You can see how much he loves this song with that sick flourish at the end. Just beating those cimbals to death

Sick. Dave was their first drummer. It's really not sane just how good Dave is on a kit. Or how good josh is as a songwriter. He gives Mike Patton a run for his money
