Hey thanks for this! Every other Warlock multiclass I could find was Warlock/Paladin with a greatsword and everything, which looks fun but doesn't really fit Wyll's vibe at all. This is much closer to what I wanted for him!

Wyll is basically a hexblade warlock, but larian just turned hexblade integrated to the warlock class

So what I do at merchants is I clear out my highest CHA character and put all of my wares into their inventory, then I waddle my way over to a merchant. I donate them all of my on hand gold, and this does two things, it almost maxes their attitude (for best price) and it gives them enough gold to buy my garbage. With the high CHA and positive attitude I just bought I can always walk out with every item I wanted from them plus more gold than what I started with most of the time. I started doing this in my second playthrough after I stumbled onto this and I've never needed for gold or good items.

there is a ring you get after exploring the area the djin sends you when you...um win fair. allows you to cast a spell as a bonus action when you land an attack...melee or ranged ...use florish for the two hits then bonus cast hold person...lvl as needed for targets ...then run up on them and crit away!!!!

Pretty sure reactions reset after you finish your turn, which is why you dont have the option to use any on your weapon attacks on the round after you used hellish rebuke twice, that said the weapons free reaction on attacks does end up being just that, free damage without having to worry about wasting your reaction.

I did something similar with my Tav Bardlock build. Except i made him Archfey and went 6/6 Multiclass. I just like it's defensiveness and tricky nature more...inventive, perhaps is the word? Picked blink, invisibility and mirror image in terms of defensives, as well as misty step. Archfey 6 gives you a potential second misty step if you get hit as a reaction. Duelist prerogative, Birthright allright. That was my Durge playthrough, so Durge cloak is insane here. But i took Armour of Agility (Bhallist armor is good too if you don't mind doing some evil things), boots and gloves from Dammon in act 3 (+2 to all weapons and permanent freedom of movement) Added ring of arcane acruity to do even more damage with my poking stick and the RING OF MYSTIC SCOUNDREL(!). Took ALL of the illusion and enchantment spells: Fear, Hypnotic pattern, silence, phantasmal force, dissonant whispers, crown of madness etc. Ended up with a very thematic and flavourful Fey build where you blink and teleport all over the fight with misty steps and mobile flourishes, tell something about their mom at any guy in the vicinity every turn as a bonus action or cuss at everyone so hard they run away with their ears bleeding(cast fear). You can even cast mirror image defensively as a bonus action since it is an illusion spell. With devil's sight I've pretty much solo'ed the Sharran encounter with this build by a well placed crown of madness. What i like with this is what you always have something to do with all your actions, all your bonus actions AND reactions Also, with Ethel's hair, one ASI (second went for defensive duelist feat) and birthright you can potentially hit 24 charisma if you also use mirror of loss at the end of Shart's quest making your enchatment spell nearly irresistable.

I wanted to go the opposite direction with my Bardlock, a full caster with the theme of a rockstar who made a deal with a devil for talent. Was wondering if anyone had any armor recommendations to help with the casting.

Some advice , slow down on what you choose, for those of us who are new I had to rewind like 5x just to see what you choose , or maybe i dont know write it out ? This was prob the hardest video of a build to follow since you rush so quickly thru it .

If the reaction per TURN is working as intended then the sentinel feat would be broken, put Wyll near another character, if they hit the ally then you get sentinel procs, if they hit you they get Hellish Rebuked. You could also Sentinel twice on multi-attackers, and this is repeatable per enemy (theoretically)

Nice video! I expect the stacking extra attack will be patched soon. I really like to go Paladin 2, Swords Bard X. It gives you a lot of fuel for smiting and some great utility spells. Another option that's really strong in BG3 is Wizard 1, Life or Tempest Cleric X. You get really potent support and offensive magic. Bonus points if you're Gale and Mystra is your deity.

That sounds like a great combo! Especially since you would get a lot more spell slots quicker than a straight Paladin. And I’ve heard about the Wizard cleric combo! Seems flavorful and fun with Gale!

You need to talk about how to get the sword, without it it's not that good. Another option is let the lv10 hirling cleric use the Divine Intervention summon the 1handed hammer. Also, 1) Wyll is human, human can use shield for free. 2) if you plan on solo, should get Devil's eyes and Darkness. actually, should get them even not. 3) even Fireball is Warlock spell, youi can up-cast it with the lv4 spell slot. 4) you can get free buff from hirling, like Freedom of movement and Hero Feast from cleric, longstride and transmuter's stone from wizard. 5) can even just take lv6 bard and multiclass 1 lvl of wizard to learn spell, like Haste. You get the same spell slot (that's how caster work) and can use 1 prepared spell from wiz. If you're willing to spend more abilities on Int, get to 12int you can get 2 prepared spells from wiz.

1) The reason we aren’t using a shield is the swords bonus action attack doesn’t work if you have something in the off hand. 2) that’s very true! I mostly show fights solo just to show the potential of the build in extreme situations. The main benefits of darkness devils sight isn’t as good on this build. With a plus 14 to hit I’m almost never missing attacks, and I would rather spend my consecration on something like haste of hypnotic pattern. 3) true! 4) Didn’t know you could do that! Awesome! 5) I already got Haste from the bow. At least one casting of it. Honestly my videos are more about the character concept and making it powerful is my secondary motivation. well ^^ i play and build with paladin 2, warrior 5 and Warlock 5, you can make 6 atk a turn, have the martial art of the warrior and launch divine strike on each hit you make xD that is very dumb for killing high health ennemy

I suggest paladin 5, warlock 5 fighter 2 instead. More smites. Alternative: drop 2 levels of fighter and get level 7 oathbreaker aura.

Well it depend for what you want ^-^ if you want to have more option warrior is better, if you want to have more smite i think bard gonna be better for that more spell slot than the paladin, and having one more action point 2 lvl one warrior ^-^, you can do a paladin monk do more mele hit than the other class and divine smite on each hit but again you want something for more spell slot than the paladin soooo druid or cleric on the 3 class

So this build is centered around using reaction abilities a lot, this sword allows you to use a lot of reactions, normally you just get 1 per round. Also if you take pact of the blade on warlock (which I did) you already get damage based on spellcasting modifier, so infernal rapier would be redundant. Another thing to consider is the fact that that weapon is acquired in a way that might not fit the players choices they want to make as Wyll. Hope that makes sense! Have a great playthrough! 😄

I kind of wish when you said "warlock extra attack stacks with bard extra attack" that you had followed that up with that it might be a bug and might be patched later. Everything I've seen in 5E rules and in other peoples videos is that it's not supposed to stack so it is likely to get patched out in time.

True! I mentioned it in another one of my videos, forgot to reiterate that. If that ends up getting patched I could see going only 3 levels warlock to get the charisma weapon and then get those higher level spells from bard. Pretty sure you’d get more flourishes as well so that could be nice.

@@comradewarners I enjoyed the build. I'm one of those idiots though that has completely non-maximized my character. I'm a Warlock Patron of Old One cause I like the lore of gaining powers form someone that doesn't know/care about me with the pact of the blade cause imps are cute. I then went Bard college of lore cause my character is all about studying the world and knowing a lot. So... I kind of suck in most fights but I pass all knowledge rolls well :)

I like optimizing, but I want it to either look cool, or go with my theme well. Some of the mathematically best builds are so lame in how they play either story wise or theme. This build that I made could be mathematically better if u made different choices, but I wanted a duelist Wyll with a rapier and some warlock stuff going on. 😃

The main difference is warlock gets extra attack at level 5 and bard gets extra attack at level 6. So just depends on how quickly you want that.
