I don’t know if you will see this or not but I want to say how much I appreciate your channel. I’m currently 8 months into a healthier lifestyle that your videos have helped contribute to. I’m 39 years old, 6’ tall, and I’ve hovered around 300lbs most of my adult life. With 40 on the horizon and the onset of some potential health concerns I decided to finally dedicate myself to change. I’m a PTA so I gravitated to your videos when I started looking for workout ideas. You emphasize principles that I turn around and utilize in my work as a clinician as well. In the last 8 months I’ve really taken control of my nutrition and I’m being consistent with training 4-5x per week. As of this writing I’m proud to say I’ve lost nearly 60lbs! At 228lbs I’m in the best condition of my life and for the very first time I like what I see in the mirror. I still have a little ways to go to meet the goals I set for my 40th birthday this upcoming January but I’m on track to do so and I’m already setting new ones for 41 and beyond. As I continue to set, chase, and achieve my physical goals I will absolutely keep coming to Athlean-X for education and inspiration. Thanks so much, guys.

I have 2 25 pounders here and that walking dumbbell one is so smart and easy as a 200 pound man. I need targeted core help due to back issues from sitting that are creeping up and i need that shit to go away before it gets so bad i cant sit anymore. It really is quite amazing how we are all able to get this information and guidance for "free" I say "free" because of having to pay for the internet connection.... just for those pedantic people. But seriously I am sat here just eating some beef stew and listening to advice that by all other means I should be paying for and there is a whole library of extra content again totally accessible by a simple mouse click. Go back 15 years ago and this I don't believe was possible at all. I know its stating the obvious and its probably been said many times before but thanks to Jeff and his team who put these videos out for everyone here to access, and if you make videos yourself and other content here for others to access in a similar way, thank you to you as well, you may not know it but your doing a lot of good for everyone.

@JC, I took your dumbbells over head walk and tried it on the treadmill, holy moly, when the angle starting rising it was much harder and ignited the burn on my core. I went up to 10° incline the hardest part was keeping my back straight and core tight while keeping my form with dumbbell. When I couldn't keep my hands raised I lowered them to my side while still walking on treadmill and then repeat after 3min break.

Thanks Jeff for your rhomboid stretch exercise. I had random jolts of pain on my left rhomboid, like those shock pens. It's been about 2 weeks since I did those stretches and I haven't felt them since.

I am an old (67) fat guy (down 70 lbs since last year 70 to go) I have been going to the gym almost 4 months, and trying to get into good enough shape to begin getting in shape. (In shape enough to begin Jeff's program) Last night I dreamed about larger quads, and bigger arms. I think my mind is right to continue to make gains. I have added 1.25 inches on my biceps so far. I may never be fit and strong, but I am getting fitter and stronger. Thanks Jeff.

I’ve been working out for 6 months and I instantly hit a weak plateau on bench. I could barely bench 175 lbs for 2-3 reps. After watching Jeff’s videos, just a month later, I can easily bench 205 lbs for various sets and reps and I keep getting stronger. Thanks Jeff👍

I appreciate your videos. They’ve really helped me get the most out of my workouts. I know you tend to aim your videos at elite athletes looking to peak, but I’d love to see some videos for those of us who are overweight/obese who want to build muscle and get strong.

BlackHat Fit Sure! I’m building muscle using the advice on this channel, but my weight has gone up. My measurements are either the same, or bouncing up and down, with maybe a slight downward trend. I’d like to lose some more fat (or speed up the fat loss so I can lose pounds on the scale) while I go through this journey.

BlackHat Fit 4,600 calories seems like a lot, even for me. 😂 Better than my doctor who suggested 1,400 calories. I should mention I’m 6’1”, 250 pounds.

DB overhead walk...is my favourite exercise at the moment. Going for 1/3 of bodyweight with vinyl dumbells of 15kg each. Thanks Jeff! :)
