Bizzare Teddy Perkins trivia: Donald Glover was nominated for an Emmy for Best Lead in a Comedy series, and someone in the full Teddy Perkins getup was sat in Glover’s seat. Bill Hader won for the first season of Barry, but he hugged Teddy on his way up to the stage, and a short while later Teddy was gone and Donald Glover was sat back in his seat. I don’t think they ever said who was playing Teddy Perkins for that, or what the plan was had Glover won the Emmy.

The film crew was not made aware that Glover was playing the part, I think only the director and LaKeith Stanfield knew. He showed up to the set in character and creeped everyone tf out.

Maaannnn. I dealt with this type stuff before. This lady was doing my Mother's hair so she recommended her, just for loc maintenance. She saw me and was like "oh your hair needs to be detoxed but it will take time. We can cut it and reattach it." I had my hair for 20 plus years and never really had any issues. I only hit her up because I was going out of town for the Holidays and was tryna get cleaned up. She cut my hair off.... Then straight went ghost.... This lady was tryna sell me hair on FB for 1500 dollars. 😑 the amount of bullshit people do instead of just getting a job is wild. I got my locs back and didn't make a scene because it was Christmas Eve and her family was there. I've only seen her once since this happened and she looks at me and I can tell she knows that shit was foul but I be coolin man. Just sayin I can relate to this shit. 💯 It's crazy out here.

Did you think they could just wander about without freely without anyone asking the hell they were doing lol? Read Frederick Douglass' autobiography. He talks about how slaves were encouraged to wrestle, box, & drink themselves into a stupor. I warn you though. It's a HORRIFYING read. Slavery is MUCH worse than most people imagine.

@@JimmyMacram Slavery was such an institution that there were all types of variants. Especially as far north as Maryland. But the fact Frederick Douglas escaped slavery by just walking onto a train and Solomon Northup would later be put into slavery by walking onto a train, makes my mind spin.
