will have to buy a variable Nd filter for shooting in bright condition , they come in two ranges , 1-5 and 6-9 ,in very bright light 5 is not enough sometimes and if I buy 6-9 it is darker than I need from 7 onwards , so might have to go for either a bright look or a little dark footage than perfection sometimes, so several people on the net are searching for 3-7 range ... if I don't want to change my camera settings to brighten or darken , the question that just crossed my mind and I wanted you to share your views on it is ..... should I buy 1-5 and darken it later or 5-9 and brighten it later ? which is more preferable ?

I recently got the vnd filter recently. I also noticed that the cap goes off very easily. Does the same happen with the black mist filter? I want to get one, but I fear it will come off easily the same way the cap goes off 😰

ほんと、後のフタほしい！! 今まで使ってたNDは前のフタすらなかったので、前のフタがあるだけでもだいぶ助かりましたけど。

Something to consider/PSA if you’re trying to decide between this or a magnetic system (seems like this NiSi system isn’t magnetic anyway) is that if you’re clumsy like me and occasionally drop your filters you won’t pick up any grains of iron/metal in the dirt or gravel which end up scratching the hell out of your filter and are a tremendous pain in the ass to clean off…

Yeah i think the swift system strike a good balance between normal and magnetic filter system, i used to use the freewell magnetic system they were great but the only downside was the magnet itself, taking pictures in beach or desert was just a nightmare the filter picked up so much waste to the point i could hear it grinding when i twist the filter.

After watching a lot of reviews, I think this is going to be my first VND system for the A7SIII. Does the 5-9 stops do a good job? I've heard most VNDs don't perform well over 7 or 8 stops, especially with wide angle lenses. I'm planning on using the Sony 24mm F1.4 GM and I'll probably have to go over 5 stops on daylight, so I'm a bit concerned.

Get the biggest filter size possible and use stepup rings to reduce issues with vignetting.

I consider this set, but I'm afraid that addictional 4 stops filter might come off and I couldn't feel safe while carrying around the camera with filter on, I've tested it yet without it, and that 1-5 is not enough, even during cloudy day to shot at f2.8. Did it ever come off the main filter when you used it?

Know this is an old comment but no, the 4 stop filter hasn't come off mine once. I've tried vigorously shaking it over my bed to see if it would, but still stayed in. It fits really securely, though I'm not sure how (kind of feels like suction?). Either way a very well engineered product.

今まで、KenkoのバリアブルNDX II とMarumiのマグネティックNDの組合せで愛用してきましたが、私もNiSiのVND＋SWIFT使ってみました！ 確かに、ふざけんな！っていうくらい蓋が緩いっすね・・市場に出してはいけないレベル〜 詰めが甘いんちゃう？って感じです！ せめて、SWIWTの表側にネジ切ってあれば一般的なキャップ使えたのに・・ NiSi 可変NDフィルター TRUE COLOR VARIO 77mmと82mmで重ね使い・・😅 面白そうなのでやってみたくなった・・w

@@AUXOUT You don't actually save any money by getting the 1-5 VND + 4ND + 1/4Mist package over just buying the 1-5 VND + 4ND and then seperately buying the 1/4 Mist. So what you can do it just get the 1-5VND + 4ND and then seperately buy the 1/8 Mist and then for the same price you get the VND+1/8 mist package you want
