THE BEST FAMILY SUV ON THE MARKET? First impressions on the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline.

This week I headed over to sunny Barcelona to drive the second generation Skoda kodiaq.
What a car! Skoda are brilliant at creating cars fit for purpose that make daily driving that little bit easier.
With there ‘simply clever’ features including door protectors, alu flexi element to stop items moving around in the GIANT boot and the classic umbrella.
Could it be the perfect family daily? 🤩

Great video, getting better each time! The digital instrument housing looks cheap and not well integrated, something which seems to afflict the new Superb too. Skoda also need to start covering the door paint on the interior on these higher end models too, bugged me on the Enyaq vrs too for a £50k+ car.

Engine stats: 5 engine choices - including a plug in hybrid with 62 miles range that is not released yet. All will be automatic. 1.5litre mild hybrid - 150bhp - 2 wheel drive. 2.0litre TSI - 200bhp - 4 wheel drive. 2.0litre TDI - 150 bhp - 2 wheel drive - 190 bhp - 4 wheel drive *In this first impressions review I test drove the TDI with 190bhp and 4 wheel drive.

Very stupid choices by VAG in general. 1.5l should be just termic. Those 2.0 diesel and gas should be hybrid. Also Kodiak has become too big

You may buy a smaller Karoq or even a Kamiq. There is still a huge demand for ever larger cars and the Kodiaq obviously wants to be competitive in that discipline. Also, most of the decisions are made by Škoda not the whole group. In fact, exactly these engine decisions are actually made at Škoda, even for most other brands in the group. News.

@@Tapot_goo both are too small. This has 4.8m, those are under 4.3m, meaning a small boot. Tiguan has the perfect size but is sold just by VW, which means is more expensive. A boot that has 500-650l is enough for 90% of population, and that requires 4.5m in total length
