I think Carhartt's importance in fashion and streetwear specifically, is they never intended on being a part of fashion. Many of the best brands, at least in my mind, didn't start in fashion. Carhartt, Levi's, Lee, Wrangler, Stussy, Vans, Converse, Nike, Adidas, Red Wing. I could go on. The only "fashion" brand I like is Ralph Lauren's non tech lines. I don't like RLX.
