I'm 43, was 390 and now 350 (took about a year) and I learned this the hard way. Very good video. I'll add that meal prepping for the week helps. And helps if you are okay with repetition (for the week) and at least you know the daily calorie consumption. I do have off days, but i get back on. I'm working on going to the gym at least 5 times a week. In the beginning it was hard to do. It's getting easier, but now because of my obesity I have flat feet and that's an issue i have to contend with as it makes it somewhat difficult to exercise.

This is just what I needed to hear today. I'm sick with a chest cold and haven't worked out all week. I was feeling so down on myself for not achieving bigger results and then i watch this video and start thinking, 'you know its just been the last two weeks that i've ignored the calorie count...and when i measured two days ago I was an inch smaller on my upper arms, thighs and my waist. Yeah it's been a year and i've not lost more then 4lbs but i lost a couple pant sizes, an inch everywhere and built some sexy muscle." Thanks Jordan for the dose of motivation i needed to keep trying new things. It really has been a journey that i feel good about.

I love your way of thinking and expressing ideas. Though I do not always agree with everything you say (personally, i like to work out my calories using TDEE for example) but I have immense respect for you and your content. You are very down to earth and you don't see the world in black-and-white which is so often the case nowadays, and it's great to see somebody who is willing to admit that there is a discussion and no cookie-cutter solution for everybody. Also, go science! Thank you for contributing to the discussion! (On a personal note, I have just enjoyed a great dinner date with my boyfriend - eating at an Italian restaurant and not feeling guilty about it, because I know that I am going to get back on track tomorrow. Your tips for good mentality when it comes to weigh loss is immensely valuable to me so thank you once again!)

Hey, this was my first time watching your videos and I really found the information very helpful and accurate.. I just thought I'd suggest maybe you should try shortening the lengths of your videos.. either by keeping pointers and try limit yourself to a certain amount of minutes per topic, or maybe just editing. Watch through and edit out the info that's not 100% relative to the topic.. Just a suggestion, but I see loads of potential with your information and knowledge on these topics, i just feel the length deters amount of viewers. Good luck with the rest of your youtube journey, you've gained a subscriber :)

So basically I am doing it right! All you telling right now that is the way I have been doing. Try and error. I always think it would be easier if I have a lot of money I'll just hire a PT and do the works. Having do it alone with my partner we created our Body Makeover Journal ig account.Thruout the journey, I have found your ig with those impressive diagram. I take it to the next level. Eat what you feel like eating and find activities that are fun. Eg. Surfing, skating, bush walking, mountain biking etc. Sports that are either fun to do or take you on an adventure. Forget work outs, their boring and unsustainable. If you eat good food you feel good. If you eat crap you feel crap.
