Oh hey, my favorite leader in the game! There are actually a few of us who have been quite bullish on her for a while, and have put up some great locals results since Set 2! She's also just incredibly fun. We had a lot of the same deck build choices. Thanks for covering her! Some notes that our brew group kinda figured out over time: - Cartel Turncoat was an incredible card last set, but in today's meta is quite rough - Greedo is amazing in more defensive Fennec builds, but she thrives in particular when she can have a unit ambush and then stick around, and Greedo doesn't really do that. - Other 1-2 drops we run are some combo of New R2, Old R2, and C-3PO. - Bamboozle is too good against the Sabine matchup not to run at least 2x, not to mention its versatility into quite a lot of other stuff - Fleet Lieutenant is one of the best cards for her and IMO needs to be 3x if you've got enough Rebels. The triple actual is just so tempo-swinging - Boba Yellow overall wasn't actually that bad for us last set--oftentimes you could preempt Boba flip and surprise strike with Fennec, and it'll win most games. Boba Green, on the other hand...was super rough. In competition I won all my sets against Boba, except against Boba Green. Now that he's out, we are super pumped about Fennec this set.

something which could be considered is getting rid of greedo and a few non-heroic and replace by new r2 (or old or jyn) and add for cause (which is not that consistant in the featured version) and replacing waylay by spare the target
@sylinmino2 күн бұрын
@@dillen-swccg the best player in my brew group actually does run 3x For A Cause and uses Spare instead of Waylay and it works really well for him! Personally I used to run For A Cause but 3x Daring Raid is so important against Jango that I subbed them out. L3 is another fantastic early unit with Fennec, I forgot to mention, and really good against Cad/Quinlan/Jango TT. That's actually quite interesting that your worst matchup is Bossk, by the way--we actually do decently against him. It's Quinlan and Cad that are pushing us right now (but we're improving at it).

Thank you. Play tested with this deck and it is really quite good, fun to play and strong. I have changed the Greedo to Jyn, Waylay to Spare the target, 1 Spark/1 Red Three/1 Qira for 3 For a Cause, which make it tilt to more aggro build instead of Tempo Aggro, which suit for my play style more.

Pirated Starfighter is a hidden gem for Fennec. You can Ambush before its When Played and just, bounce it back to hand safely. Really strong in nowadays meta heavy in the space arena.

Thanks for sharing the deck! Very excited about giving this a spin. What do you think about including Steela?
@Thorrk_THTКүн бұрын
Steela is great anti-control tech when your strategy is to outgrind and outvalue your opponent, blue/white midrange deck can use that strategy but not aggro deck like Fennec red. Besides not playing enough Tactic, we would need to make big changes to the deck to include her.

Hi there, came into the game about 7 weeks ago and started with Fennec, think she is a sleeper deck for sure. One question, have you tested the new Sabine? Seems on the face of it strong for this deck at the higher end of the curve

Can we get a set 3 heroism boba deck? I feel like that deck could be a pretty serious deck in this meta. been playing around with it. I cant figure out if i should go with a underworld theme with NTA2OT or build it without basically making it a hab1 green shell.

Yes but the sample size is quite a bit smaller so it's worth what it's worth, it's Beton playing his signature han1 red which you can find a deck tech on his channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5CTpJ-qiNGbm6M&ab_channel=SWU-SwoopRacers

I’m surprised to not see Star Wing Scout in the deck.
@dillen-swccg2 күн бұрын
i had it in the sideboard at one point to have a good answer to concordane (and maybe draw 2 since you mostly have the ini when ambushing). usually the opponent player doesnt attacke into your red 3 if they feel save in space and i think just killing the concordone with falcon +1 and having a unit on board is better than a suacide star wing scout
@PontusWelin2 күн бұрын
@hmmm. But getting those two cards can be insane. And the way the meta looks now it might even be worth in main. It would be bad against bossk. But the other decks that ping tend to be in space. And if the opponent can’t ping it easily it’s a very aggressive unit.
@PontusWelin2 күн бұрын
@@dillen-swccg also. What’s you opinion on playing spare the target instead of waylay?
@dillen-swccg2 күн бұрын
@@PontusWelin would only do so if I would wanna run for cause. just for the flexability to bounce your own unit with a nasty upgrade (something like top target) on it (which the pirated starfighter is good at as well)
@sylinmino2 күн бұрын
@@PontusWelin as nice as the double card draw is, this deck works best when you're ambushing units and then having your own stick around. Star Wing kinda betrays that. I think I tested it early on but it was just not working as well as you would think in theory.

Man a 2/3 for 1 is bad but a 3/3 for 2 is great? After 15 minutes to get to 3 cards and hear this.....i might not be back with these bad takes
@Thorrk_THTКүн бұрын
Well in this case the 2/3 for 1 is in space so it does not compete with the same card as on the ground so it's ok that's why we play it. But yes, in the current metagame, on the ground, ignoring abilities, a 3/3 for 2 is better than 2/3 for 1, and that's why Battlefield Marine is the best 2-drop in the game and cards like clone Deserter or soldier of the 501st barely see any play. Basically, you think that 6 stats for 2 resources is worse than 5 stats for 1 resource. This "arithmetic" way of thinking about stat is completely wrong and I will explain to you why: -If your 2/3 gets killed by a 3/3 leaving a 3/1 behind then the fact that it's 2/3 doesn't matter, it would be a 2/1 and it would have made no difference. Facing a 3/3 you would actually be better off running a 3/1 which by your standard is worse (4 stats for 1), but in reality, it does a much better job because it trades with 3/3. -Obviously, you are not always going to be facing a 3/3, but it turns out 3/3 (or 2/3 with extra damage "on attack") is one of the most common statlines you are going to be facing on t1 competitive Star Wars Unlimited play, so in this environment 2/3 is a bad statline. Obviously, your 2/3 might have extra abilities that make it worth playing but talking about the stat only, yes 2/3 is not a good statline in the current meta. -Whether you cost 1 or 2 in this context does not matter as much as you think. Your cost 1 only matters if you actually utilize that extra resource to do something, so for example a one-drop in a Luke deck is great because you can give them a shield (but never forget that going double 1-drop will make you lose initiative). With Fennec, a 2/3 that you can give ambush to on turn one has very little value since most t1 our opponent will play will have 3 health. So to evaluate a "good" and "bad" statline you should not think "arithmetically" but rather think in terms of "ecosystem". 3/3 are natural predators of 2/3, because they kill them without dying, so in an ecosystem dominated by 3/3 on turn 1, 2/3 automatically becomes bad. As a result, you can clearly see in the meta the only 2/3 on the ground that sees play are the ones who have big upsides to make up for their weak statline.
