Literally just bought quite a few because the ones i got are 139.6 proof. Bought one and polished it in a week and decided i needed the rest of the ones they had at my store.

It’s dangerously easy to drink! The sweet syrup notes make it easy to go through.

I really wish I could find some with higher proof. I can find them between 125 and 133 so far.

You probably are drinking the rye version. I would be shocked if you found the standard JDBP bourbon at 139.6 proof.

Great review Patrick. I was completely surprised by this bottle after getting the 10 year and the 12 year. An excellent shelf sitter that's incredible! And I haven't had Jack 7 in decades!

Outstanding as always Patrick and I couldn't agree more. I am not an Old #7 fan but I love this single barrel/barrel proof from JD. You made me break out my bottle of 22-03892 that checks in at 132.4 proof. The nose and flavor notes are utterly amazing. And, these are always on the shelf or behind the counter by me and always for a decent price. Thank you and keep up the great work. Cheers...

I've only tried a lot the Single Barrel Select at 94 proof cause it's so consistent and I like the proof. I'm not a big proof hound and usually highest I like to drink is 120. Saw four bottles at Molly's Saturday off Arapahoe n I25 here in Colorado $65 130 proof 👍🏻🥃

If you can get the BP for $10 or less, more than you pay for the 94P, SiB you should get that & have some fun experimenting with different proofs. The min is 125P for the BP bottle, so you can make JD 120P, 115, 110, 105, 101, etc. You would likely find something better than the select & would have limitless options for whatever you're in the mood for that day. If you ever try that, let us know how it goes.

This was the second JD product I tasted to the Old No. 7. My mind was blown. I described it as a slice of banana bread with (walnuts) made into French toast with fresh vanilla bean, sprinkled with caramel and cinnamon. This whiskey is about as decadent as it gets for less than 100 bucks. Great review Patrick. - D. Lee

I'm not sure where you've seen a jack daniels "bourbon" because they are very serious about the "Tennessee whiskey" lable. They invented it because of some deep rooted beliefs. I can't find a picture of a jack daniels bottle with the word "bourbon" anywhere on it even though technically it is. Jack Daniels = Tennessee whiskey.

Yeah, none are labeled bourbon, at least in the U.S.. They came up with the TN whiskey scheme as of way to avoid having to put the 2yr age statement on their flagship Old No 7.

I have bought the rye but for one reason or another this Tennessee whiskey has never appealed to me. I think dickel and old number 7 when someone says Tennessee whiskey. If it’s as good as you say it is I’m having to going to buy it.
